A while later, the two of them arrived home. Though it looked shabby and lacked countless things, both Bin and Mina treasured this small place as it brought they spent many of their happiest memories in here.

Bin quickly prepared the dishes for Mina, who eagerly waited for him to finish. Once everything was set, she started savoring all the dishes, picking one thing from every plate.

She stopped half-way as she noticed Bin wasn't eating. She picked a sushi and tried to hand it to him only to for him to refuse it. Despite her insistence for him to eat, Bin kept rejecting her whilst saying he already ate.

Since earlier, his hunger completely vanished. His attention was wholly focused on the letter in his hand. It had his name on the envelope and looked brand new. He tried to force himself to open but couldn't, perhaps he was refusing to face the truth or didn't want to read the contents of the letter.

Maybe what's inside will seal his fate once and for all. No matter how strong-willed he is, when death approaches you, you cannot help but feel anxious and helpless for there is no one death cannot reach.

Time quickly passed as Bin played with Mina for some time before the latter peacefully fell asleep. Though she didn't show it, she was sleepy yet wanted to spend some time with her big brother.

As he sat next to his sister, caressing her hair, Bin remained lost-in thought, not even minding the darkness that covered the room. He didn't even bother using a candle to illuminate the room for his mind was busy pondering about other things.

Finally, he was cut off from his daze by a soft knock on his door. The visitor turned up to be the driver from earlier, he worked for Jasmine and his presence meant that she's probably here too.

Bin really didn't have the patience to deal with that spoiled brat but still followed the driver as it is his job to serve her all day long. According to the laws, a person can't work twenty-four hours a day yet Bin accepted her offer due to the high wage.

If all he had to do was accompany her and go along with her annoying jokes and childish acts of revenge then he won't mind. It's just the timing of her appearance in his life was the worst.

Ever since he met her, things went awry. His sickness started acting up again, Doctor Galen died and by tomorrow, Mina will be expelled. With the loss of his backing, all those rich parents from the kindergarten won't hesitate to get rid of the only commoner, who's apparently 'bullying' their kids.

Very soon, Bin was sitting inside the car from earlier except that Jasmine was nowhere to be seen. Her absence was quickly explained by the driver.

"Miss Jasmine had to return early lest Master gets angry."

Now that he thought about it, her father got angry when she arrived late yesterday, then again, by late he meant 6 PM. Currently, the sky was dark and it's almost 9 PM. He left Jasmine around four hours ago and spent most of his time with his little sister.

The trip to the mansion was quiet but not awkward. The driver seemed to be the silent type just like Bin so they got along very well despite not exchanging many words. If she were here, his head would have burst from all the rambling she says.

After half an hour, the two of them arrived at their destination. The driver went to another building next to the mansion, as for Bin, he was guided to her room the second he got off the car.

Since her home was so goddamned big, it took him a few minutes to reach her room. As usual, she was alone and in a bad mood.

'Not like she's ever friendly....'

Fortunately, she didn't seem to notice him as she was busy playing a video game. Soundlessly, Bin walked up to one of the comfortable chairs and sat, not minding the vulgar language she was typing to her teammates.

Time slowly passed while the two of them was busy with something except that Jasmine finished rather quickly and only then did she turn her head to glance at Bin, whose attention was focused on an envelope on his hand.

Though she wasn't interested, she randomly asked

"Hey, what's that?"*

This caused him to snap out of his daze and hide the envelope again while retorting

"None of your business."

"Hey, what's with your attitude, I was just curious."

Surprisingly, she didn't get angry but her tone was a bit higher. In response, Bin looked back at her and answered

"I'm not here to make friend but to do my job. Last I checked, a servant obeys orders and doesn't answer questions that don't have anything to do with his job."

The girl snorted unhappily and muttered

"A servant HAS to be friendly with his master."

Bin scoffed and didn't reply as it's a waste of time to reason with her. Just from his short interactions with her, he understood her character and knew that she'll do whatever she wants.

She had been spoiled since young and don't know what suffering is, how it feels to not eat in three days or to work non-stop just to be able to feed your family. These are foreign concepts for the rich and the pampered kids.

After a short silence, Jasmine talked again

"Didn't I tell you yesterday not to sit whenever you feel like it?"

"And didn't I tell you that I'm tired so I want some rest? It's not like you've ordered me to do something."

Hearing him talk to her like that and seeing his nonchalant expression, Jasmine pointed at him angrily and ordered

"Y-you!! That's enough! I order you to stand beside the door until I say otherwise!"

Just as she said that, Hyue, the maid from yesterday and room while pushing a cart filled with food. Just the sight of all these delicacies made Bin instantly hungry.

"Miss Jasmine, dinner is ready."

Unfortunately, Jasmine ignored Hyue and kept glaring at Bin, expecting him to do as ordered. Little did she know, Bin was more stubborn than her and wasn't going to do that just because she ordered it.

He was a servant, not a slave. His job was to serve his master but not to do literally everything she says. What if she asks him to drown or stop breathing, does he have to do follow such suicidal orders?

'Bullshit! While it's true I accepted the offer because the pay is high, I'm not going to follow such idiotic orders just because my 'master' is such a b.i.t.ch'

"HEY! Didn't you hear me?"

Her tone intensified and her expression became uglier as she glared at him coldly. All other servants she hired weren't like this, though they tried to rebel and defy her orders, they would quickly quieten down with a single threat.

Hyue, who just entered, watched the show with a frown on her face. She attempted to interfere and solve this peacefully but it was too late

"If you don't move this second, you're fired!"

Hearing this, Bin burst out a laughter

"Indeed, you're nothing but a child."

To hear such a reply even after she such a dangerous threat, Jasmine was dumbfounded and couldn't reply. She only came back to her senses when he left the room.

As for Hyue, she glanced at the leaving Bin and try to signal him and urge him to apologize but he didn't even look at her as he calmly left. Though she often praised Jasmine, she knew that her little master is a bit hot-blooded and trying to ask her to forgive him when she's this angry is pointless.

Despite the several servants Jasmine had before, Hyue noticed that this one was different. Although he always got on Jasmine's nerves, he was special, not like the others who would obey her every command just to satisfy her. She knew that his presence would change things inside this mansion, for the better and not for the worst.
