Today was Saturday so Mina doesn't have to go to Kindergarten hence Bin decided to spend most of his day with her. Although Jasmine told him to serve her every day of the week, it shouldn't be a problem to convince her to take a day off.

"No means no! I'm paying you so much yet you want to a day off after working for less than a week?!"

Bin massaged his temples while trying to block his ears to not hear her loud and annoying rambling.

"Look, I'm not working whether you like it or not. I'm going to spend the day with Mina."

Just as she was about to talk again, Jasmine's phone started ringing. While still glaring at him, she answered the call but her expression soon changed.

"Since when?… Alright, I'll come right now."

She took a check from her bag and quickly filled it before handing it to him while snorting

"Hmpf! You're lucky! Rika went missing again so we'll look for her."

'Again?'

Absent-minded, Bin took the check and left the car, which soon disappeared from his view. Only after a while did he snap out of it and look at the check.

'Holy sh-'

He inspected the check several times but it seemed genuine. She just handed him a 1 million won (844usd) just like that, without a reason, or he thought.

Jasmine knew about his financial problems so she gave him that money to fully enjoy his day, at least that was his speculation.

Although he got so much money out the blue, Bin wasn't stupid enough to spend it in just a day. He quickly returned home only to find two girls prepared to leave.

'To think they're looking for her when she's in my house…'

Since he was taking his sister out anyway, Bin decided to bring Rika too as it's not good for her to remain here all day. He couldn't even imagine what Jasmine will do if she finds out about this.

The driver was also keeping his silence, for now. For the girl to try and kill herself, she surely needs time to think about things. Forcefully dragging her home will only worsen the situation.

'Anyway, it doesn't seem to be the first time she ran away.'

He stared at the short-haired girl, who was wearing her dried clothes. In all honesty, Rika was as beautiful as her other friends, she had a certain charm to her, however, she wasn't his type, unfortunately.

Living with a girl you like or have a crush on is a dream of all young men. Sadly, Love was the last thing Bin thinks about, especially for someone in his situation.

"Big brother, where are we going?"

Mina excitedly asked her brother, who entered the bathroom and hid the check while taking some cash to spend today. Someone like him doesn't have a credit card so he hides all his money in a secret place. He has saved 1.4 million won (1200usd), it isn't much but that money is his accumulated efforts over a long time.

"I don't know, where does our Mina want to go?"

He smiled at his sister and asked back

The little girl pondered for a few moments before

"Park! I want to go to the park!"

"Park? We can go to more fun places, chose wherever you want."

She shook her head and insisted

"No, I want to go to the park."

He rubbed her hair and nodded his head. Wherever she wishes, they'll go. Except for before and after going to kindergarten, she rarely spends time with her big brother.

In fact, only the last few days were an exception as she got expelled so she accompanied her for some time, except for that, she only sees him late at night or early morning.

Bin was slightly worried that the ruffians from before would come again, fortunately, none bothered them, though they didn't attract a bit of attention because of Rika.

Most of the people here knew each other, more or less, so when they saw an unfamiliar lady dressed like that, they stared holes through her.

There was a park in their neighborhood but Bin wanted to take her to the Central Park inside the city. It's a much bigger and better park than the shabby one near his apartment.

Bin's heart bled just by thinking about the taxi fee but he couldn't make his little sister and Rika walk all the way to the central park so they ended up taking a taxi.

Half an hour later, they arrived before a large park that resembled a lush forest with all those tall trees and thick grass. Though there was an area designated for families. Bin and Rika sat on an empty bench while Mina darted toward a small field where a lot of children were playing.

She gets to experience such joy only once every few months so Bin didn't hold her back and let her enjoy her time to her heart's content. He wanted to go eat breakfast first but Mina was hellbent on going to a park first so Bin decided to do a picnic while they're at it.

'Come to think of it, we've been in a similar situation before.'

He glanced at the silent Rika, who seemed to be lost in thought. A few days ago, they were in a very similar situation, both waiting for Jasmine and her friends to finish playing in the amusement park.

It was then that he noticed the marks on her wrists, which she desperately tried to hide. Back then, he didn't question her and he never thought it'll end up with her trying to kill herself.

Bin thoroughly thought about it and came up with few speculations, for example, her parents may abusing her. An overbearing step-father or step-mother perhaps? Or is she ill? He'll never find out the truth unless she starts talking. Though, he isn't going to force her to do anything, when she feels comfortable, she'll definitely talk about her worries.

"Your friends are looking for you."

His words snapped her out of her daze, causing her expression to become strange, her melancholic gaze was mixed with a bit of guilt.
