“Eh… With that, let’s talk about the event draft for the Ballgame Tournament happening next month.”

Right now, we are in the middle of Homeroom.
We’re talking about event drafting for the Ballgame Tournament that will be happening at the beginning of the coming month.
Honestly, I don’t really care about things like the Ballgame Tournament. This pointless hustle is just so boys can appeal to girls. I really don’t care for it.
More importantly, I want to get the Neko. Ahh—, I want to meet her.
I wonder what I should name her–. I don’t care about this draft. I’d trade all the guys in this class if dad could finish work even a day faster. Like that I can get her earlier.
“……Katagiri-san? Let’s sober up okay?”

…….While I was thinking about Neko matters, Houzouin comes to warn me.
Yeah yeah. I’m sober.

By the way, about the event: The guys have Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball. The girls have Basketball and Volleyball, I think that’s what they said.
Volleyball is…yeah. It’s too hard. I’m good at serving, but I don’t have a chance of doing a spike or a block.
Basketball too I guess. For some reason, the closer I get to the basket the less often the ball goes in…so yeah.
If it’s three pointers, I can get it in 2 out of 3 times though.
So with that said, I can’t really say I can play basketball. The male events? I couldn’t care less.
Also, it seems that if you’re part of a club that does the same activities as the event, you can’t participate.
Well, this class has Japan’s #1 Senior League Pitcher and the Zenchuu Scoring King. If they entered, the battle would be won before it was even fought.
Actually, even if they don’t participate, fundamentally, the specs of this class are so ridiculous. I cannot help but feel we are something amazing.

“And so, Katagiri-san and I will decide on the divisions for the events.”

…….Nn?
Is that someone trying to recruit me?
C’mon, the guys in the class are in an uproar……not.
Why is there an atmosphere like everything will be okay if you leave it to me? I’m troubled…

I’ll tell you the results. Kiho and I were put in basketball. Kaede-chan can’t do basketball! I felt, so I frantically shook my head ‘no’ and she was put in volleyball.
For the guys, all the tall ones were put in basketball, and the rest were divided appropriately.
As a result, Senior-League-#1 and Scoring-King were put in basketball. Men’s Basketball is practically won with this, but I digress.
Alright, now that the event drafting is over, let’s go home. Let’s do that.
Ah? Sensei’s talking? No he isn’tttt. It’s fine that he isn’tttt. Let’s go homeeee.

“Alright, with this matter settled, school is over. See you tomorrow.”

Says Deer, wrapping up the day.
Allllright not a single wasted breath. Even better!

————————————

On the way home, as always, I’m going home together with Kiho and Kaede-chan.
Since the two commute to school via train, I’m happy I can walk with them up until the station.

“Ah! Oh yeah, Sora! When are you going to pick up the Neko?”
“Nn? Next Sunday. I wish it would come faster.”

I walk while saying some non-altruistic words. Kiho asked me all of a sudden about the Neko.
Wait did she ask me? Well whatever.

Kiho often says things like, “That Neko sure was a cutieee–,” “I want to meet her soonnnn-.”
…….Is she trying to appeal to me implicitly? No, it’s already crossed over the bounds of implicit that it’s obvious.

“If you have time, want to come with me on Sunday to pick her up? Like that, we can play together at my house.”
“Really!?”
“Would that be okay!?”

With a hunch that I was being implicitly appealed to, I try inviting them, and I get a fierce response, de gozaru. (Some pun here that’s lost on me.)

“Still! Kaede! We were respectfully invited to that Sora’s glorious house! It’s like a dream come true!”
“Indeed that is true. A visiting gift is definitely needed, and we have to put some fighting spirit into our appearances.”

These two’s senseless rabbling is starting to worry me.
Even though they’re coming to just an extremely normal house, why are they worrying so much.

“Umm…you two don’t need to bring any visiting gifts or anything, and you can dress normally, okay?”
“But! It’s your house! If I don’t put in effort, won’t someone get mad!?
“Indeed! It is your house you know.”

Yeah…they’re just saying whatever they want about my house.
Is it that? Are they mistakenly thinking that I live in a mansion? Or that I’m part of that? (The Yakuza. Also, Japan has a different definition of mansion. Think Emiya Shirou’s house from FSN)

It’s just a single house. No mansions. No Yakuza, rather, it’s impossible that dad’s work is that.

“Um….It’s just a normal house so…?”
“….With Sora-san right in front me, I can not imagine her living in a normal house.”
“……You speak the truth Kaede.”

How mean!

“….Even if I’m not normal, please trust me when I say that the rest of my family is normal.”

Please, I’m begging you. When I desperately beg for them to not put so much attention and fighting spirit into their outfits, those two give me their approval.
Still, that I can’t be considered normal. How rude.
My family is comprised of a senior superintendent dad, a housewife mom, and a rarely mentioned younger brother.
…….yeah. Yeah That’s normal. I’m normal!

Thereafter, we talk until we arrive at the station. It was decided that they would come over to my house on Saturday to spend the day.
I called my mom to get her permission of course!

So the two of them are coming to stay over…. What should I do about dinner. Should I make it??? Ah, wouldn’t it be fun if all three of us cooked together!? But, the two of them are guests…

Ahah! If they’re staying over, I’ll be able to see them in pajamas (etc.)!
Oh god. Can my nose handle it? I mean handling nosebleeds!

————————————–

I arrive at home. It’s after dinner time right now.
I decided to give Neko a name before I started raising her, so I’m staring at a blank piece of paper.
I try asking my younger brother for help, but he tells me “Tarou,” (Japanese equivalent of Smith) and doesn’t tell me anything significant. She’s a girl after all!
…….Oh yeah, he also told me ‘Potato.’ God my little brother is a little touched in the head isn’t he.

Yep. I can’t think of any names.
I even tried looking up Snow and White in German and French, but a flash of inspiration didn’t come. Still, I’m definitely not going to use a detestable name like ‘Potato.’
Ah! Maybe I’ll just give her a name with English letters! I have an image of a pet’s name in English.
Yeah! Like this, it’s easy! I’ve already thought of one!

The English thing before was just a sham, but I’ve decided on a name!
The name is: Sekka! (Snow Flower). It’s great because then I can call her so many various ways, like Setsu, or Yuki-chan.
Ah, the name means “Snowflake.” Afterwards, I can say something like ‘You’re like a flower in the snow.’
For a pure white Maine Coon, it’s perfect.

Ahh, this weekend is going to be so fun.
Kiho and Kaede-chan are coming to stay over, and furthermore Neko is coming!
Oh god, this weekend, I’m going to climb the stairway to heaven.
In my excessive happiness, I bet I’m going to fall off halfway. I can’t really fall off though.

This is a man’s romance! wait I’m a girl…
