Chapter 207 – Loots

The server event notification alarmed all players in server 1.

"An army?"

"Raid boss event?"

"Sweet! Finally, an event!"

"THIS IS BS! THAT CALLISTO CRAP HAS ALREADY KILLED ME 17 TIMES! THERE IS MORE!?"

"^Noob. Who asked you to jump into the shockwave range?"

"^^Agreed. But have you looted your corpses?"

"^^^What corpse? All my bodies turned into zombies, and my items are still on them!"

"PARTY TIME!!"

"That stupid broken boss is dead, right?"

"^You're slow, aren't you?"

"^^You're slow! I've secured my old items! Looting profits now!"

Thousands of scavengers, looters, and victims of the blood tree rushed into the forest to find their lost equipment and stealing other's items.

While they were looting, some of them encountered corroding zombies, which had been converted from the dead bodies. Several unfortunate players and unprepared players got killed again.

That was not all. Because of the profits and interest conflicts, many players attacked other looters nearby, fighting to take the items they desired.

The forest of blood tree and mutated bear became a free-for-all PVP zone for all the players.

At the center of the chaos, Misha and Tama gathered items into a large pile as her game inventory slots were full.

>

Misha glanced at her inventory menu.

Although there was no limit on the amount or weight, there were slots, which indicated how many kinds of items she could store in the game inventory. Unlike the VIP inventory, which had infinite storage slots, Misha had only 200 slots, and it was not enough to store all the loot.

*Mew* (I see a bag. Let's shove all small things and small equipment in the bag while we store the large one in the inventory.)

"That's what I'm thinking."

The two stopped searching for more items and sorted the piles of treasure, ignoring all the commotion and the fighting from a distance.

20 Minutes later, their peaceful looting time was interrupted by a scavenger.

"Holy shit! That's a huge mountain of items!"

The person gazed at the 3-meter tall mountain of japtems, which consisted of other players' equipment, weapons, clothes, and miscellaneous tools in daily life.

Misha and Tama glanced at the exclaimed player while their hands were moving between their inventory menu and another small pile of consumable items, which they had sorted from the tall mountain of treasure.

"Give me five minutes, and the mountain is yours. We're almost done."

Since she could not take everything, she planned to make the most out of it and bail from this area.

However, the scavenger overestimated his ability. As the adrenaline rush clouded his judgment, he did not notice Misha's name and her first rank icon above her head.

He aimed his pistol at Misha.

*BANG*

15!

The bullet hit Misha's flame field barrier, which did not deal a significant damage.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

The scavenger thought that if he could kill this strange girl right now, he could have scored all items here. As it was a common sense that the first attacker had the initiative, he pulled the trigger, shooting at Misha until his clip was empty.

17!

16!

14!

Still, he failed to reduce Misha's tanking barrier HP to zero.

The shield bar barely decreased by 1%!

"Wha-!?"

After he had emptied the gun's chamber, his eyes looked up and found Misha's name and her first level rank icon.

It was too late for him to realize his mistake.

*PU*

Tama's tentacle pierced the scavenger's throat as she absorbed all the juices in his body.

250!

250!

With only two gulps, the player died.

Also, Misha did not get a penalty since that person attacked her first.

"Let's go. We're done here."

Misha abandoned all common equipment and weapons from players. However, she took all consumable items and the drops from the boss as they were more useful and more valuable. She flapped her wings and flew away from the scene.

A few minutes later, other scavengers found the gathered pile of loot. They scrambled and fought for the armors and weapons.

.

.

Misha returned to the mafia mall and asked to visit the bank.

When she got there, she began sorting and storing all consumable items since there were too many, and they became a burden.

As for the drops from the boss, Misha separated them to another group so that she could inspect them.

5 Upgrade Stones for 3-Star item or lower,

10 Lesser Enhance Stones,

200k dust,

10 EXP books, which could give 10,000 EXP each,

3 C-Virus Antidote,

1 Completed C-Virus,

10 Unidentified staff of 2-Star rarity,

15 Unidentified talismans,

50 Unidentified ores of various colors,

And 1 Seed of Blood Tree.

There were 4 antidotes, but Misha had already taken one to cure her [Infected] status.

Misha was smiling from ear to ear as she knew that these items were priceless.

These three items could have fetched a high price, even in MWD or diamonds. However, Misha had no plans of selling them.

Without hesitation, she took the vial, which contained the completed C-Virus, and drank it.

>

Then, she turned to the upgrade stones and her 3-Star accessories, which were sitting in her bank storage. Unfortunately, none of the three-star items looked promising, so she did not upgrade any of them. She stored them all for later use or for her friends.

As for the lesser enhance stones, Misha had an idea of how she could use this.

She took the 6-Star ring in her left hand while she took an enhance stone in her right hand.

>

"Yes!"

>

>

"Oh!"

Misha examined the item status.

.

There were changes. The level requirement increased from 1 to 5, but the bonus CHA rose by 20.

*Mew* (Don't enhance this thing, Misha. It seems useless, and I feel that you won't be able to wear it at +2. It might require level 10 or something to wear.)

Misha nodded. Currently, her level was 8, and she did not think that the (+2)'s level requirement would stay at 5.

With 9 other enhance stones, other useful items could be upgraded.

Misha took out her set accessories and enhanced them one-by-one.

.

All accessories were upgraded, but Misha could not enhance more than +1 since her level was still low.

"This should help."

*Mew* (That's so-so. Well, now that we're done. Are will going after another field boss?)

"Chill, Tama. We have another thing."

*Mrrr?* (Another thing?)

.

*************************************

Can be planted. The mature plant can produce a unit of complete C-Virus once a month.

Required a lifestyle skill, [Farming], level 50.

Required a lifestyle skill, [Monster Breeding], level 50.

*************************************

.

This seed was tempting on many levels as it could grow a tree, which could produce the 100-point C-Virus. With this kind of item once a month, anyone's character would become OP in the long run.

However, the requirement was also strict as it required the specific skills at a high level, and Misha did not have it.

*Mew* (You want to grow that stupid boss!? Are you nuts!? … Oh wait, you're a banana.)

If possible, Misha wanted something similar to the field boss tree as a pet since it could attack everything around itself, which was perfect for a guard. Unfortunately, it was a hopeless dream.

"I guess I can't use it. Let's store it along with the unidentified items anyway."

.

After Misha had stored all her unused items in the bank, she messaged Natalie, asking her about all the field bosses that she had killed.

Because of the rough fight, she was curious about how Natalie had killed so many bosses.

[What's up, Misha?]

"Natalie, have you killed the 5000-power boss in the dark forest?"

[The blood tree? Yeah, I already killed it.]

"Can you tell me how you killed it? Its scream hit me hard, and I almost died several times."

[Eh? Do you have a crowd control spell?]

Natalie referred to skills that could inflict status effects, such as [Stun], [Silence], or [Paralysis].

"I have only learned attack skills and a barrier skill. No CC skills yet."

[Learn one, Misha. Have you fought the boss?]

"Yes …"

[Have you killed it yet?]

"Err …"

[Here's the trick. Did you know that you can stun the boss before it screams? Once you stun it, the shockwave scream will be canceled, and you can continue dealing damage. You will have to stun it every 10 seconds, though. And when its HP drops to below 30%, it will increase its attack patterns, but they are easy to dodge.]

"…"

Misha's face darkened, feeling like she wanted to slam her head onto the wall.

'There's a fucking counter, and I never thought of it!'

[When I killed mine, I only zapped and stunned it to oblivion. Well, there were hyenas when I was soloing the boss, so I let it scream a couple of times to get rid of onlookers… Oh, you have to barrier skill, right? Flame Field should be similar to my Force Field. With the barrier, you can take one attack from the boss without dying.]

"…"

[That's the gist of it.]

"… Thanks. Say, are there other bosses that are a bit easier than this one?"

[The blood tree is the easiest field boss among all 5000-power ones, though.]

"…"

Misha was on the verge of yelling, "THAT WAS EASIEST BOSS!? ARE YOU A SAGE, AND YOU'VE SEEN YOUR 12 MILLION FUTURES OR WHAT!"

[After the blood tree is dead, there will be a new raid event, and a new boss will be spawned on Newbie Island. On my server, it's a Bear King with 10,000 power, but it's a fucking lie. The real status of all field bosses is ten times more than what it shows on the surface.]

[Also, other bosses on the island are Black Slime Soldier, Vulture of Gluttony, Mr. Double X, and the Baby Green Egg with the "Apostle" name like the blood tree. Well, all of the bosses have this kind of Apostle thingy, so you should be able to notice them.]

[Be careful after you killed one of them, though. After you killed it, there is thing foreshadow of their master and the announcement will tell you that you've been marked or something. Then, the new batch of stronger monsters will appear to replace the previously spawned monsters after the invasion...]

Natalie continued to narrate how she killed all the bosses and the techniques that she had used. As for Misha, she was too astonished in Natalie's abilities and her insight that she failed to remember the tricks.

Also, she did not pay attention in the latter part where Natalie warned Misha about the aftermath.

In the end, Tama had to take notes in Misha's stead.

.

.

Meanwhile, at a dark tunnel south of Newbie Island, a male felionian was sitting still in front of a stone statue of a naked woman, meditating.

It was Moo's whose avatar had a nosebleed. However, it was not because of his perversion.

He was fighting against the Black Slime Soldier within his mind space.

Thirty minutes after Misha had killed the blood tree, another notification appeared on server 1.

>

>

>

>

After the announcement had finished, Moo opened his eyes, which leaked a few drops of blood tears.

He panted as he clenched his heart.

"That was fucking close! I almost died. What were you, son of a beach, NYA?"

It was a rare curse coming from Moo's mouth as he was always cheerful and bright in front of his comrades. However, his grimacing face was the opposite of what Misha and others usually saw.
