Chap 87– LITTLE GOBLIN : Master, don’t come here!

Peony, The Flower Fairy

Yan Yan only felt that there was a burning fire in his heart; that he, himself, was on the verge of getting out of control and was instantly disintegrated!

He stared at Zhong Qing who was sitting beside him and said, “Sister Peony, you really don’t understand Yan Yan’s mind?”

Zhong Qing’s eyebrows wrinkled up, confused, and asked, “What do you mean?”

Looking at her who seemed innocent, Yan Yan felt some ridicule in his heart.

“For many years, I have been careful hiding my deepest feelings because I am afraid that it might frighten her.” Yan Yan thought.

However, Zhong Qing still simply did not know and it’s okay, but that day, he seemed to have the guts to tell her his true feelings.

Before, he felt like he didn’t have the courage nor the confidence to tell his sister Peony his feelings and he was not sure that he could put her under his wing.

But at that moment, there was no worry at all.

He just liked her and he wanted to confess.

Yan Yan looked at Zhong Qing without even a blinking and his voice sounded hoarse, “Actually, I have something to tell you, my Sister Peony…

I like you and no one else. The only Empress whom I want to marry is you, only you my Sister Peony. I will not be completely happy if you will not be the girl whom I will marry. I just want you and me, alone together.”

Zhong Qing was overwhelmed by his confession.

She looked up at the boy who already grew into a handsome young man. For the first time in her heart, she suddenly realized that he was already an adult.

Yan Yan already became a grown man, an emperor.

Feeling lost in her mind, she was distressed by Yan Yan’s confession.

For all the time that she took care of Yan Yan, she just thought of developing the feelings of the man, but never wanted to cultivate any relationship as man and woman.

She watched him grow up with her own eyes, from a little boy to the man he was then.

She treated him like his younger brother and almost like his own son. He was raised by her and she never felt any jealousy against the others.

“When did this child begin to like me? When did he have this kind of feelings?” Zhong Qing thought.

“How much does Yan Yan know about love?” She added.

Knowing that for as long as the other person had it in the eyes, she can detect what’s inside his heart.

He gave her a low laugh and answered her doubts, “Actually, it was long time ago, I couldn’t even remember as it has been for a long time…”

He made it clear that it was in his thirteenth year when he started to think and felt something for her. Although, he himself could not trace back how it event started.

Perhaps for the first time that she revealed her appearance in front of him? Perhaps it was the day-to-day companionship? This woman already intruded on every corner of his mind and body, allowing his heart to no longer tolerate others.

She was still shocked while looking at him. She couldn’t understand how and what she did wrong that caused him to feel that way.

The only thing that she knew clearly was that she had no relationship with Yan Yan and could not respond to his feeling.

“You listen to me, Yan Yan. I’m just… just an elder sister for you. I just like you as my younger brother. There is no…”

“I know.” Yan Yan interrupted her words.

His expression was filled with promise and added, “Don’t worry. I can wait, Sister Peony. I believe that one day, you will accept me. I can wait for the rest of my life to wait for your response.”

But Zhong Qing was not willing.

She put up an expression and coldly said, “You do not have to, Yan Yan. I can’t accept your love and

it’s even more impossible to be with you.”

“You should marry a harrying wife who could give birth to a few children. Go to politics to make this dynasty more prosperous.

Don’t waste your time waiting for me.”
