"Stop calling me demon, you coward!" Zhi Shao Yao lashed.

"How did you get here, Yao'er?" Hu Zi raised an eyebrow.

"I have my ways." She said proudly.

"She… She probably sneaked in." Jin Tao 's body trembled when he thought that the demon could get in and out of his house freely.

"I didn't." Zhi Shao Yao looked to the side. She didn't dare to look at others' eyes. Clearly indicating that she was lying.

"Whatever, just give me back my bowl!" Jin Tao got up and tried to get his bowl back from Zhi Shao Yao's hand. But he wasn't fast enough, the girl dodged and he fell instead.

"Hmph, you are too slow, cowardly prince." She smirked. "I won't give the bowl back to you. It is my new uncle's share. He will need a lot of food so he could grow up and be pregnant with our new cousin soon!"

"But your aunt said that she would give me the food!" Jin Tao's stomach growled furiously. Suddenly, he thought that something was wrong. "Wait, did you just say that he should become pregnant soon?"

Jin Lan and Hu Zi looked at each other. "I thought that the illness will only cause you to stop growing. Did it also make you be able to become pregnant?" Hu Zi chuckled.

"It's good to know that you have some sense of humor." Jin Lan sighed.

"Demon, who told you about that?" Jin Tao raised an eyebrow, staring at the chubby girl with doubtful eyes. He was still scared of her but this was ridiculous.

"Ten told me." Zhi Shao Yao said proudly.

Jin Tao rolled his eyes. The image of Ten giving that wide smile while flatly telling lies suddenly emerged in his mind. There were veins popping on Jin Tao's head. "Of course it's him. That weird earthen tribe prince"

Zhi Shao Yao didn't heed the cowardly prince as she kept walking toward her new uncle and gave him the bowl. "Uncle, I am sorry for being blunt. But you need to grow up, fast! The family is on the verge of annihilation and current;y only have me and my cousin left. It is a crucial time to have an heir and continue the bloodline."

Jin Lan broke a cold sweat. He looked at Hu Zi, seemingly asking for help. Hu Zi only smiled and said, "I also want a child."

"Eh?" Jin Lan further broke into cold sweats. He didn't realize when Zhi Shao Yao intentionally shoved the bowl to him. She stared at him with glittering eyes. She looked hopeful enough for him to feel cornered and nervous. "I... I will do my best."

-----

The small courtyard was located on the outer part of the palace. One of its four walls was directly touched the palace's outer wall.

Zhi Shao Yao came inside from a hole on that wall, a very small hidden hole covered that could only be entered by children. The palace usually had suffocating security, weird for it to have a hole on its high wall. She also wondered why that hole was there. The hole didn't seem like it was made by accident, it was surrounded by a seal, that made Hu Zi unable to detect it.

She accidentally found it yesterday when she attended the wedding ceremony. The hole was hidden by an alley so no one but she knew about it. She intended to keep it that way because it might be useful later on. She sneakily went out when no one saw her.

After she finished cleaning up the dishes, Hu Zi went to the bedroom, she stared at her husband who was ransacking the bookshelf.

After his meal, he immediately looked for books on the bookshelf. His bookshelf was huge, it contained a lot of books and scrolls that were arranged neatly. He checked them one by one, seemingly to search for books that contained something to do with energy and element. Hu Zi looked at the books that he finished checking and placed on the floor. Those books were unlike her restaurant accounting book that was only filled with numbers and short notes, they seemed to have long paragraphs and would be very hard to read.

The cursed prince was looking for a book that could answer his questions about energies, he remembered that he read about it somewhere, but didn't remember where. For starter, he needed to know about how to conceal the energy he got from Hu Zi in his body so he wouldn't be parched anymore.

The energy he got last night seeped out from his body and made him small again. Maybe he could cure his illness if he could find a way to keep the energy inside.

Hu Zi curiously took one of the books and tried to read the context, she frowned soon after.

He realized that she came back from the kitchen. Sitting right behind him, trying to read the first paragraph of the book.

The book title was wind and water. "Feng Shui," He spelled as he walked toward her. "I remember Tao said you are a wind element master, do you pick that book because you want to know more about the nature of your element?"

Hu Zi wanted to say that she just picked a random book, but figured that telling that now and broke the curious gleam on his unfathomable eyes was not a great idea.

She nodded. "But I can't read it…" She said in a very small voice. She seemed down because she couldn't read the book.

He didn't know that she was blind before so he was a bit confused. Because in this country where those who are intelligent would be counted as more superior, the children of nobles, like the great general, would be taught how to read at a very tender age of two. It is very rare to see someone who couldn't read in the capital.

Hu Zi was very embarrassed. No matter how much she tried to learn how to read, she kept realizing that she couldn't read and understand things as fast as her peers. She bit her lower lips, looking to the side when her eyes met with him.

He wondered why she diverted her eyes. "You said you can't read?" He took the book from her hand. "Very well then, I will read the book for you."
