They were ready to go.

For the Hu family members, they brought three carriages with them. The first and grandest was for Great General Hu and Lady Hua. The second was for Hu Bai, Hu Cheng Se, and Hu Zi. And the last one was for Hu Ye, his wife Lady Guang, and his son Hu Xiang Yi.

The rest of the carriages were for the servants, food, and other necessities.

Zhi Shao Yao was still having a high fever, but she insisted on saying goodbye to her mother from the gate. She wrapped herself in layers of coats and went with her father. She carried Zhi Yu.

Fei Ying was resting his wings on top of Hu Ye's carriage.

For some reason, Hu Ye was very restless. He was a cautious man, so he ordered to bring more guards. However, that couldn't shake that eerie feeling he got.

"You should stay." Hu Ye stared at Qing Guang worriedly. "You just gave birth not long ago; we will use that excuse to make you stay in the capital."

Her eyes widened. "Ye, you know that ever since you pulled the strings to change the woman Crown Prince will marry in the marriage edict, they have been pressuring you. Now, my name is clearly on the list, and if you go against the edict again..."

Hu Ye was well aware of what would happen. "How could they tell you and our baby to go on such a difficult journey..."

Qing Guang was also suspicious. Yet, as his wife, she shouldn't make him even more worried. She smiled and took his hand.

When the carriage started to move, Hu Cheng Se opened their carriage curtains and looked outside. There was a black-robed man standing in front of their gate, right next to Zhi Yu.

That unbelievably serious and intelligent figure anyone could notice even if he was standing a mountain and a river away. That annoying boy had grown up to be an outstanding man. He stared straight into her. When she saw that serious expression of his, Hu Cheng Se could't help but brightly reveal a huge grin.

He saw her grinning face and gave a helpless smile.

All of the carriages' curtains opened in almost an instant, uncovering all the faces inside. They all smiled and waved back at the gate... saying their goodbyes.

After they left of the Capital Gate, a cool breeze passed through Hu Zi's face. She activated her long-distance radar and realized that there was a figure on top of the city's gate. He was smiling warmly.

She smiled back.

She remembered that there had been a time when Shou rarely came to the residence to practice with her. She recalled that it was around the time after Hu Ye set out for wars. Because of that, she was furious at his attitude and threatened him that she will tell the others about the incident in the hot spring.

-----

"It was all because you were growing up so much lately, so I felt this weird feeling when I was with you and decided to stay away for a while."

"That's not an excuse! If you keep dodging me like this, when will I ever became a wind master, ah? That's it! If you don't practice with me, I will tell everyone your secret. Then I will cut off master's thing and burn it in a celestial fire!" Said Hu Zi vigorously. Shou's face turned white and then red, as red as a monkey's butt.

"What? Don't say such an ambiguous thing, ah!" Shou blamed this girl's innocence and unreserved personality. He was someone who had tasted many hardships in life but remained a single young man, and still couldn't help feeling embarrassed when his disciple said it out loud. "Don't you know that the real punishment is not that?"

Hu Zi was confused, she knew she hadn't heard Qing Guang's words wrong; Qing Guang was a smart knowledgeable lady, there was no way she was wrong.

"The real punishment is marriage." Shou felt really weak when facing this disciple of his.

"Still, why is master being so restless about it? It is not like anyone but us four knows this."

Shou looked at the blind girl that had closed her eyes in front of him and remembered the hazy glimpse he had seen that day.

He flushed. He was always free like the wind, not interested in anything, not wanting anything, just living his life full of freedom. Even if there were hardships, he was always clear-minded and handled them smoothly. Not with a red face and a beating heart like this!

"Xiao Zi, what do you think of me?" He could not help but ask.

"I think you are a shameless, fussy, fastidious, and vexing master!" Hu Zi said straightforwardly.

Shou was mad; he bit her finger. "Yep, very irksome." Hu Zi pulled her red finger back.

"Xiao Zi, remember that promise where I will show you around this world?"
