However, the Judgement Book will only harm anything that is related to a demon it will not harm any humans as the Judgement Book currently is not in Hell, so all its powers against a human is taken off along with Yama's powers so the only thing Yama can do is now, cultivate as much as possible to get stronger just incase he gets into a life and death situation with a cultivator.
One of the other reasons why Yama did not want to skip this test and do the final test is because he has heard cultivators discussing that the final test might be a Heaven Blessing test and knowing what happened to the Blessing Stone back at Ye Clan, Yama did want to take unnecessary risk, even though he wanted to be low profile as much as possible, Yama had no other choice than take on this test otherwise he will never end up getting into the academy if the Heaven Blessing stone broke.

"Elder regardless of what is, he can still subdue any demon, this is because he specialises in that." Remember you can only chose one book once opened you will be teleported to your dorm."
