Ji An gave up calling Ha Na, and took of her shoes and was planning to slouch over at the sofa. However, before she even started to slouch over, she can hear rumbling sound from her tummy. She frowned upon her tummy and suddenly remembered that she has not eating a single thing today. No wonder her tummy is doing some band performance inside.
Their house was small but cozy. Both of them rented a rooftop unit together with 2 bedrooms and they decorated their room according to their own style. They are indeed best friends with different style which can be clearly seen from their room.
Since Ji An is a reporter, her room is a bit messy. Paper and documents spread over everywhere and her clothes and coat also lying everywhere on the floor. There is no way to differentiate which cloth was clean or dirty. Whenever Ha Na peeked inside her room, Ha Na always sighed and nagged at Ji An to tidy up. Or worse, Ha Na will threatened Ji An that she will throw everything out of the house. Ha Na mentioned that Ji An's room can be used for cockroach conference meeting.
Ji An decided to calm her angry tummy and went straight to the kitchen and opened her cabinet to look for instant noodle. She was too hungry to cook and she has no energy to cook difficult dishes. Not that she is a pro-chef, she can cook several simple dishes whenever she feel like it. But, just not today. Something simple will be good enough for her. She was so hungry that she feel she can swallow the whole cow, raw. Ji An went to look inside the fridge for eggs and veggie to add into her ramyeon [Korean instant noodle]. She waited for her water to boil with her back facing the door. Suddenly, Ha Na appeared beside her with a sleepy face and saw a package of unopened ramyeon and hot water boiling on the stove.
"Ji An-ah, make one for me also"
"Woahhh! Now is 8pm and you just woke up. Are you a pig or what?"
Ha Na closed her ears,"Don't nag at me. I am super tired. I didn't sleep till morning to finish my design to company A"
Ha Na works as a visual designer and her intense job makes her work unearthly hour. Actually, Ji An's job has no different than Ha Na. Sometimes when reporter didn't have a lot of news to report to, their superior will ask them to camp inside police station to get wind of any hot news. Fastest reporter wins. There will be a lot of reporters from different broadcasting station and they will literally kill each other for the news. They are indeed competitive, but their bosses are the one who drove them to be a news zombie.
Ha Na sat down on the dining chair and poured a glass of water to wet her dry throat. Ji An opened the cabinet again and took another packet of ramyeon, feeling pity of Ha Na's panda condition. When the water started boiling, Ji An immediately put 2 ramyeon in with the soup base and put the lid on top of the stainless steel pot.
Ji An sat beside Ha Na and poured another glass of water for herself when she heard her door bell rings.
"Ding dong"
"Who's that?" Ji An looked at Ha Na. Ha Na just shrugged her shoulder and signaled Ji An to open the door. Since both has no clue, Ji An voluntarily walked over to open the door. Once she opened, she saw a plastic bag hanging with a very inviting smell from fried chicken. She unconsciously swallowed her spit in a very unglam manner and kept her gaze straight to the chicken.
Ha Na, who also smelt chicken, rushed over towards the door like crazy and even shouted.
"Chickennn!!!!"
Both of their faces only paid attention to the chicken and they forgot who was coming as their savior. When the person swung the chicken away from their eager faces, disappointed faces started to appear. They were forced to focus to their savior's face.
An Song Ho stood there and grinned to both of them ,"Chicken and beer tonight?"
"Song Ho Oppa?" both girls exclaimed. They didn't expect this surprise.
