For the first time, Ji An reached her office on time! Her colleagues who always came earlier than her couldn't believe their eyes and kept pinching their own body, just to make sure they were awake. Amusement filled Ji An eyes. She did not expect her tardiness had reached this professional level, without any possibility to get back to normal, except for today.
Even Ahn Song Ho eyes bulged for a split second, did not expect Ji An to arrive so early in the morning. He called Ji An over to one of the smaller meeting room and immediately closed the door.
"Are your body feeling better now?" Song Ho Oppa asked gently.
"Ah, oh, yeah, it is better." Feeling awkward since she needed to lie to Song Ho Oppa, Ji An just nodded slightly and did not dare to look straight into Song Ho Oppa's eyes.
"By the way, you have done well. I saw the edited interview last night. Since you did well, I will give you back your initial assignment as a reward. Find out about Congressman Park shady business. And report directly to me, only to me. Do not tell anyone."
His serious tone startled Ji An. Finally, Song Ho Oppa gave her green light to continue. Did not want to waste her opportunity to start immediately, she nodded vigorously.
"Oppa, is that mean I can work remotely also?"
"Yes, you can go ahead. But report everything to me. And, be careful. He is a politician after all." Song Ho shuffled Ji An's head and gave a warning. He felt he needed to do this for her. To give her chance to find out, rather than she tried to do everything herself and exposed to danger without him knowing. He couldn't afford to let her face danger alone, it was part of his responsibility to take care of her.
With the green lights given, Ji An was getting more and more excited. Firstly, she could cover her slave contract with the remote working arrangement. Secondly, she could start to investigate openly and report it to Song Ho Oppa. Today was a good day indeed!
Ji An energy level was high. She was currently trying to find out about Congressman Park upcoming schedule. Since she could not find any clue from The Shadow, she could only focus her attention to Congressman Park instead. Getting Congressman Park public schedule was easy. However what Ji An would like to get was Congressman Park hidden agenda, which means she would need to once again stalk Congressman Park daily.
Imagining the trouble to start again from scratch, Ji An could only sigh. She saw her phone screen lighted up and took a glance. It was a message from Jun.
[Jun: What's my schedule tomorrow?]
[Ji An: See your calendar]
[Jun: Then I have you here for what?]
Gritted her teeth, Ji An took our the tablet from her backpack and almost slammed it to her desk before she realized that Jun's penthouse would serve a good place to stalk! She got access easily since she was currently Jun manager and she could get in and out without any disguise. Her attitude took a drastic change and she felt that she should be nicer to Jun instead. Her success now depended on him!
She compiled Jun's fully packed schedule for the next day in a concise summary and sent it to him one shot.
Receiving Ji An concise summary within seconds amazed Jun. This loud monkey actually did a pretty good job. Jun had roughly knew his schedule tomorrow and used this opportunity to test Ji An out. However, her next message sent a chill down his spine.
[Ji An: What do you want for dinner? Should I come over?] Happy tummy, happy man. This was one of the most common thing Ji An always heard and she hoped she could be in Jun's good favor with food.
[Jun: Are you trying to poison me?] Angrily, Ji An pressed call button on her phone. Once Jun picked up his phone, she did not even give him time to say hello and blurted out everything.
"Eh, dumb head! I am out of good will to cook for you since you drive for me early this morning. Now, are you trying to insult me? If I want to poison you, I will not put it inside food. I will hire assassin instead to end your small life!!!!!!" After she blurted out everything, she immediately hung up and now deep in regret.
'Oh stupid Ji An. What did you just do? You just said you wanted to curry favor from Jun and now you insulted him. You should just go and die. Go to the rooftop and jump.' Ji An hitting her head, cursing her stupidity when she received another text message from Jun.
[Jun: Anything, come over]
"Yesssss!" Ji An shouted and jumped in the middle of the quiet office. All her team mates and colleagues around her turned their head towards her. Ji An felt she just once again successfully embarrassed herself and she bowed her head around and apologizing for her childish behavior. She was now wrapping her work and thinking hard on what to cook for tonight's dinner.
It has been so long since she cooked home-cooked meal and she looked forward to it. Of course, with another reward in mind, which only she knew.
