Since she did not know what ingredients would be available in Jun's fridge, she decided to make a call. Jun did not pick up immediately.
"Hello."
"Hey, are you busy? Can I ask you quick question?" Actually Ji An did not really care whether Jun was busy or not. She would just bombard him with questions. It was just a formality to ask his schedule.
"Aren't you asking right now? And don't you have my schedule on hand?"
Ji An chuckled on the other side,"I know your work schedule and not your personal. Who knows you have such weird hidden hobby from me? Like cross-dressing."
"Cut the nonsense. What's up?"
"Speaking of which, do you have any ingredients at home? How about spices and sauces, like sugar, light soya sauce, gochujang?" [Gochujang: Korean chili paste]
"Hmm, no. I have nothing like that at home."
"Sigh, I knew it. I shouldn't put my hopes so high. There is supermarket nearby your penthouse right?" Ji An traced back her memory on the landmarks surrounding Jun's penthouse. She did remember she passed by one supermarket before. It was not very big, but it should be enough to shop there. Since she was not driving, distance mattered to her if she bought a lot of ingredients.
"Yes, there is one just behind the condo complex."
"Okay, I'll see you later. I am on my way there now." Hung up the phone for now, Ji An checked her working email before shutting down her laptop. She did not forget to bring her tablet also when she noticed one email notification on the right hand corner of the tablet. Curious, she clicked it open. The email subject picked her interest. It was email from Producer Kim. If she remembered correctly, Producer Kim was someone she met before during Jun's first photo shoot.
Ji An quickly skimmed through the content and marked the email as important. Producer Kim was asking Lee Jun whether he would be interested to come back to small screen. Attached with the email was the drama script. Deciding it might be good for Jun and since she liked Producer Kim, Ji An made a mental note to update Jun about the new job opportunity.
She might need more time to shop so she decided to take a cab and go straight to supermarket. With a glance to her wrist, she saw that the current time pointing towards 6pm. There should be more than enough time for her to shop. Since she had left office earlier today, the traffic was smooth and within a blink of eye, she had reached the supermarket.
Ji An paid the taxi driver and alighted when she saw a tall guy with mask and sunglasses stood just near the entrance. His figure looked familiar and totally stuck out. There were people coming in and out from the supermarket. Even though it was weekday, the supermarket still quite packed with people. Young families or elderly were coming in and out from supermarket. There might be a few single patrons without any companion, but most were usually middle-aged woman. There should be nothing like this tall, single mask-wearing guy.
Ignoring his presence, Ji An took a trolley and wheeled it through the entrance. When she passed by the strange looking guy, she could smell familiar cologne faintly. The musky manly smell that made her heart raced before. She came back towards the entrance, coughed and poked the guy slightly. His eyes was widened in surprise.
"What are you doing here?" Since he was so tall, Ji An had to look up to talk to him. Talking with him this close, she now realized how their height differed - a lot. She lowered her volume down almost inaudible, afraid everyone might look into him and went mad.
Jun reflectively lowered down his head to be able to hear whatever Ji An saying. Some middle-aged auntie outside the supermarket was super excited to see the lovebirds and couldn't contain their gossipy nature.
"Aiyah, it is good to be young. So carefree and brazen, they are kissing in public. I am missing my husband now." The older auntie winked towards the younger one and quickly left the supermarket premise with a handful of shopping bags on both her hands.
Upon hearing the auntie's remarks, immediately both of them flustered, as red as tomato, straightened their posture and walked inside the supermarket side by side quickly and in a robotic fashion, almost bumping into each other. Walking down the row of vegetables in front of her, Ji An started to ask Jun's preference.
"Are you okay with veggies? All veggies? Or, is there anything you don't like?"
Jun scanned the colorful vegetables in front of him. His gaze looked normal. As a bystander who was standing beside him, Ji An kept his action in control and started to take a few vegetables; zucchini, beansprout, chives, spinach and green onion. She also took a few potato to make potato pancake as side dishes. When she reached for the colorful capsicums, Jun immediately grabber her hand and stopped it from reaching out the capsicums.
"I am okay with all veggies, but not this." Jun immediately started to explain his hand-grabbing action and let go of Ji An's hands.
"Aiyoh, see this superstar so picky. Why don't you like the capsicums? It is cute and colorful." Ji An couldn't help but teasing Jun until his face turned red, once again. She purposely took out the capsicums and moved it around Jun's face, forcing him to smell the strong scent. Jun kept trying to evade the horrendous smell and wanted to force Ji An to smell it back instead. So, he took another capsicum, using his free hand, and using his height advantage, he pushed the capsicums right into Ji An's nose.
"Hey, that's not fair!"
"You are short. And you are the first one who is not fair!"
They were bickering non-stop without realizing a woman with mask also looking at them, with a thousand emotion storming on her clear hazel eyes.
