Another person walked from behind the masked woman. "Nuna, why are you here? I told you to stay inside the car and I will help you buy." Jisu ranted non-stop. He was surprised to see Kim Anna already standing there. Luckily, she was sensible enough to cover her face with a mask. However, her clothes right now could be easily recognized as someone from entertainment industry. She was wearing a tight-fitting red dress with her long wavy hair styled seductively and swiped to one side. On top of her red dress. there was black leather jacket and 3-inch stilettos to show off her long and fair legs. Like who in the right mind would go to supermarket in this outfit. Sometimes Jisu wanted to shoot his head when dealing with his artist.
Kim Anna and her manager, Jisu just finished a photo shoot nearby for sunglasses advertisement and thus, the sexy dress today. On their route home, Anna had told Jisu that she was craving for milk pudding, which was causing them to stop over at this supermarket to buy. After a long and tiring day, Anna would always eat one portion of milk pudding regardless of her crazy diet plan. It was one thing she could never let go. She remembered Jun always prepare this sweet treats for her during her trainee day. Jun always let her eat a bit of milk pudding so she wouldn't crave sugar so much. Although actually Jun couldn't bear to see her suffer restraining sugar. Desserts were after all Anna's favorite food.
At first Jisu had offered himself to go and buy it for her, while Anna would wait inside the car. However, Anna noticed Jun was the one standing near the entrance with a girl and she couldn't stop herself from checking it out. She had been following both of them and looking at their interaction with each other. It pained her heart to see Jun able to interact freely with another girl! She couldn't accept it. Jun was hers and hers alone. Attentively checking on the girl, she felt that she had seen this girl before.
"Jisu, who is that girl?" She pointed her chin towards Ji An.
As a quick-witted manager, Jisu already understood that Anna came out because of her raging jealousy towards the girl beside Jun. "We met her once before, during the photo shoot that you had with Jun. But, I don't know who she is."
"Find out for me." With that, Anna started to step away. Away from the crowd and away from Jun.
"Eh, Nuna, how about the milk pudding?" Anna kept walking towards car park and ignoring Jisu behind. Afraid his Nuna might change her mood again, Jisu was indecisive whether he should buy the pudding or chase Anna out. In the end, he quickly ran to the cashier, just in case his Nuna changed her mind again and he needed to run around finding pudding in the middle of the night. It was not a bad idea to stock up for now.
Back to Jun's penthouse
After a very fun shopping time, both Ji An and Jun walked back inside his penthouse and still talked nonsense with each other.
"You go ahead and take a shower. I will prepare your dinner."
"Nah, I am still afraid of the possibility of you poisoning me. I will stay and help out." Jun rejected her offer nicely.
Ji An shrugged it off coolly and asked Jun to help her wash vegetables instead while she was cutting washed vegetables and preparing all the sauces needed. Ji An had planned it out. She would cook potato pancakes and simple kimchi pork soup for today's dinner. While for the side dish, she had ready-to-eat kimchi, blanched spinach with garlic and caramelized sweet potato.
She also bought a few food container to keep the side dish and put it inside Jun's fridge. She noticed his lonely fridge only have alcohol and water inside. There was no proper food stored. Hence, she would prepare more side dishes just to keep his fridge fully packed. Cooking was one of her favorite activity. She loved how it felt like scientist and how the taste would change depends on the sauce and sometimes adding in a few additional ingredients.
Felt like bothering Ji An, Jun decided to let her command his kitchen while he was waiting on the sideline and observing Ji An pure bliss while cooking. It was a foreign scene for him. He had never been pampered before. When he was with Anna, he was the one doing the chores around the house. Anna would be too busy to eat with him and he did not see the point of cooking. So, take-out food would always be his first choice. With Ji An's attitude, he did feel a bit pampered and subconsciously think that it is nice to be pampered. Especially with someone who knows you and understands you.
Pity their relationship was built based on threat. There was no mutual understanding, nor they knew about each other very well. What he knew was Ji An's real work was a reporter and his was actor. Ji An was a woman and he was a man. There was nothing more beyond that. Their relationship might be as thin as ice, easily broken with a slight crunch, which what Jun was thinking now, before he realized later on how Ji An would affect his life.
"Dumb Lee Jun, meal is ready. Faster come. I am starving." Ji An cheerily shouted from the dining room, located just in front of the kitchen. Jun's penthouse had an open concept, so there was no separator between each room.
The table setup in front of him took his breath away. It was a home full-course meal. Ji An had prepared rice and soup, which was considered main staple food in Korea. In addition, she was thoughtful enough to add nicely cut kimchi and spinach. The meal was simple, but it was Jun's first home-cooked meal after long years of longing and emptiness.
He sat down, too mesmerized to say anything, and slowly picked up his spoon and dipped it inside the soup bowl to taste it. She indeed had good cooking skill. The taste was comparable to those famous restaurant, the soup taste was deep, not overly salty and sweet, just nice for Jun's taste bud. His first spoon became second and then third and without him knowing, he kept enjoying the food without striking any conversation with Ji An.
Of course, Ji An was totally delighted to see Jun ate so well. Her initial plan was going on smoothly. She just need to wait for Congressman Park to appear tomorrow. According to her initial schedule, he always visited this apartment once a week and tomorrow would be D-day.
