Bo Ra offered her hand to Min Jae. She still had that friendly expression for her husband and the others to see. After all, this was only the first time they met. It would only be natural for two people to shake hands upon being introduced to each other. But little did everyone know, this woman was in for more than just a friendly introduction.
Min Jae glanced at her hand first before meeting her eyes with his own. The woman was deeply gazing at him beneath her thick lashes. Her eyes were dark with lust and if it weren't for her husband standing beside her, she wouldn't have hesitated boldly approaching him.
Min Jae remained expressionless as he shook the woman's hand. Usually, he would be glad to at least return the ladies' attempts to flirt with him. But now, he suddenly felt annoyed. Was it because he isn't in the mood? Or was it because they were in public where everyone can see them?
One thing's for sure: None of the women around him seem to be captivating enough and worthy of his attention. It's as if he found himself less interested in other women, especially those who explicitly show their interest in him. Min Jae blinked at this realization.
Looking at Bo Ra, she was indeed a beautiful woman. Her skin was flawlessly white. Her body was a beautifully shaped hourglass. Even her big bust was enough to complete the whole seduction process. "Mr. Lee, may we invite you to our table?" Mr. Gum asked. "I do wish to have this opportunity to discuss with you some things. I also believe that I would be able to offer a few deals that would be very hard to resist!" He exclaimed. Chang Seop was very proud of himself. Aside from being the first to approach the powerful man before him, he was also very confident that he'll have a contract signed by Summit Group International's CEO by tonight.
Things were really working out well for Mr. Gum. However, his enthusiasm didn't last long when it was finally Min Jae's turn to speak. "I'd have to decline, Mr. Gum." He frankly said.
Mr. Gum's smile froze in place. "I appreciate your efforts of preparing the tempting offers though. Perhaps the other guests here might be interested. Don't get me wrong Mr. Gum. It's just that your competitors managed to be a step ahead of you right under your nose. And they happen to have very promising offers too."
Upon hearing this, Mr. Gum frowned. His brows furrowed in both anger and confusion. Before he could even begin to say a word, Min Jae abruptly interfered. "Excuse me, I'll step out for a while." He said to the man before swiftly heading away from the crowd.
Min Jae dropped by the balcony to get some fresh air. As soon as he stepped outside, the noise from the party significantly minimized. There were no other people in the terrace hence, Min Jae was able to have his peace and quiet.
Not long after, he heard the sound of heels clicking on the cemented floor. When he turned around to look, he once again saw the beautiful woman from earlier. She was smiling as she approached him with an extra glass of wine on hand.
"It seems like I haven't seen you drink yet, Mr. Lee." Bo Ra said when she was only more than a feet apart from Min Jae. She offered him the glass. However, just like earlier, Min Jae was hesitant to recieve it.
Bo Ra lightly laughed. "Don't worry, I didn't put anything in there if that's what you're worried about. I suppose you wouldn't decline my offer too, would you?" Under her thick lashes, her eyes remained the same. It was obvious that she was hinting something else. And now that it was only the two of them in that area, secluded from everyone else, Bo Ra now had her chance to pounce like a predator towards its prey.
Min Jae sternly looked at her eyes as he harshly grabbed one of the glasses from Bo Ra's hand and downed the liquid in just one drink. He hastily emptied the glass before shoving it back to Bo Ra. "Leave." He coldly said before turning away from her.
Despite his efforts of dismissing her, Bo Ra was still adamantly persistent. She finally understood why her sister wanted that man. He was very handsome and capable. He was terribly more powerful than her old and stupid husband Gum Chang Seop! Unfortunately, Na Rae failed. This was a huge gain for Bo Ra. That's why she was so happy to see this man attend the event today. Because now, she has the chance to catch what her sister failed to get.
"Oh my dear Mr. Lee. The night is so young! You should be out there having fun!" Bo Ra said as she placed the two glasses on the railings. Min Jae did not respond. He remained quiet and expressionless, as if he was deeply thinking about something.
Desparate to get his attention, Bo Ra inched closer. "Besides, I have a deal to make too. But unlike my husband, I don't easily give up presenting my offers, especially when they are achingly hard to resist." She gently placed her hands onto his arm.
