Eun Young stared at him intently. Beneath her long lashes, her eyes were dark and they were frosty as ice. Her gazes were like daggers piercing through his soul as she actually dared to look at him incitingly. Eun Young thought that the sight of them together would weaken her. She thought that when she sees the two of them, she would feel pain all over again. But no, that's not what happened. Surprisingly she was able to find courage to hold her head up high. After all, she'd done nothing wrong. These people should be the ones cowering in guilt for their mistakes.
When Na Rae decided to glimpse at Min Jae, it was only then that she realized his attention was elsewhere. Following the trail of his vision, that's when she saw his wife heading towards their direction. Eun Young had a blank expression on her face. However, her eyes shone with boldness and fierceness that she instinctively felt so small with the aura she radiated. Eun Young walked with confidence in those designer clothes and those dollars worth of stilettos. If it weren't for that doctor's coat she was wearing, no one would even think that she works here!
Na Rae stopped in her tracks too when she felt Min Jae halted. He was still in a staring contest with that woman and Na Rae couldn't help but feel annoyed. This b****! Obviously she's going to try and seduce him again. Not this time though! Let's see how she'll react with this...
Without permission, Na Rae held Min Jae's free hand. Min Jae was taken aback with her sudden actions yet she still continued to intertwine her fingers with him. Min Jae's brows furrowed as he turned to glare at her. In a soft voice, Na Rae spoke lovingly towards him. "I'm hungry. Should we go get something to eat baby?" She pouted.
The creases in between Min Jae's brows deepened as he frowned. "What the f***?" He angrily whispered. He tried to retrieve his hand from Na Rae but she held onto him tightly, her long nails burying themselves on his skin.
Eun Young snorted when she finally came to pass them. Min Jae looked at her direction once more but Eun Young didn't even spare him another glance. She acted as if he was only one of the people she comes across with in this hallway everyday. She acted as if she never saw anything!
Min Jae was tempted to go after her. It's been weeks already since he last saw her and the kids. Her departure was still a painful memory to him yet to see her right now... he didn't know that it would have this kind of effect on him. His heart trembled with the sight of Eun Young. He was relieved to see that she looked okay; she looked like she's doing very well. Eun Young really looked radiant and it distressed him all the more to know that it was because she wasn't with him anymore.
Min Jae blinked as he watched Eun Young walk away. He felt his chest become heavier, tightening even as the distance between them grew more and more. Finally, Eun Young disappeared upon turning on the corner. Just like that she vanished... like the Eun Young he just saw was just a clear pigment of his imagination. Min Jae let out a sigh. If there's anything, he was already content seeing that she was fine. He was still a bit surprised. However, what really caught him off guard the most was his longing for her.
He was brought back to reality when Na Rae squeezed his hand. "What do you say? You up for some lunch?" She offered nonetheless. Min Jae took this opportunity to forcefully take his hand back. He also stepped back to keep an ample distance between him and Na Rae.
"I have a meeting to attend to." He reasoned. "I'll see you when the results come out." And with that, he turned to his heel and began to walk away from Na Rae.

Na Rae furiously hurled her handbag at the couch. With her hands clenched into fists, she walked back and forth in the living room. "That b****! Why the f*** did she have to come and ruin everything! Ugh!" She angrily exclaimed. Seeing the vase sitting innocently on the table near her, Na Rae sent the fragile item flying across the room. The vase broke into a thousand pieces on the polished floor.
Upon hearing the sudden commotions, Bo Ra immediately made her way downstairs only to see her frustrated sister massaging her temple by the sofa. "Hey! You ungrateful wench! You didn't have to break anything you couldn't even afford. Have you forgotten that you're just leeching off in here?!" Bo Ra complained. She immediately sent maids to clean up the mess her sister made.
"Hey! Are you even listening?" Bo Ra pried.
Na Rae instantly snapped upon hearing Bo Ra. "For once in you life can you f****** shut that g**d*** mouth of yours?! I can't deal with you right now so f*** off!" She roared.
Bo Ra was a bit startled with Na Rae's outburst of emotions. She already knew her sister wasn't in such a great mood. Regardless, she didn't know it was actually this worse! Crossing her arms, Bo Ra sighed.
"What? Didn't your DNA test go as planned? I thought you already had everything under control?" Bo Ra asked. She recalled Na Rae being so confident that Min Jae was the father of her child. Also, it couldn't be possible that one of them backed out the last minute because Min Jae seemed determined to find out the results this morning when he spontaneously called for a paternity test. What could've went wrong?
Na Rae remained silent. She was determined to ignore her sister. Of course, Bo Ra noticed this right away so she rolled her eyes in response to the cold shoulder Na Rae was giving her. "Whatever. If you're going to throw a tantrum, do it outside. Else, you can find yourself another place to stay." Bo Ra warned.
