Su Lian doesn't respond.
She straps her son in the car and takes a seat next to him while the driver speeds off to their villa.
It's not that she doesn't want to reply, she doesn't know how to. She herself has no idea where he is. What should she tell her son?
Seeing his mother silent, Su Yichen doesn't speak anymore either. He just stares out the window and thinks to himself.
'My teacher is wrong, not everyone has a daddy. If everyone did, then how come there isn't one here with me and mommy?'

After Su Lian drops her son at home and leaves him with Stephanie, she rushes back to work to meet the waiting Bella.
Getting to her office, she sees Ryan sitting in front of her desk with a folder.
"I brought you all the information that there is to know on Wei Xiang. Do I get a reward?"
Su Lian takes the folder and looks through it before nodding her head in praise. "You can take the rest of the day off."
Ryan shakes his head and speaks in a displeased tone, "Spending time away from you. That's not a reward, that's a punishment."
"So what do you want? A bonus?" Su Lian ignores his snarky remark and continues to flip through the folder.
"How about you treat me to dinner?"
"I already have plans with Bella."
"I'll come too." Ryan straightens out his blazer in preparation to take two women out on a romantic evening.
"You can't. This is a girl's outing."
"How can you do that? This is clearly gender discrimination against your employees. To think I
always thought that you were a righteous and just person."
Su Lian rolls her eyes at him.
"Since you aren't taking the day off, you can prepare some basic information about Han Yuan for me. I can't screw this meeting up."
"Fine, but you have to take me to the meeting with you."
"Of course, just make sure you behave. Lock up when you're done." She packs up her stuff and walks out the door leaving Ryan gazing at her back with a huge grin on his face.
Bella is downstairs waiting nervously for her boss. Her hands keep going to adjust her glasses and smoothen out her skirt.
Su Lian arrives and smiles brightly.
"We should get going but you need to change first."
Bella looks down at herself feeling nothing wrong with her standard office clothing. "Change?"
Su Lian nods and as if on cue, her driver arrives with a garment bag being held on a hanger.
Bella takes the hanger from him with a puzzled expression on her face. Su Lian ignores her look and walks off to a washroom while beckoning for her to follow.
