Day 2 Part 4

After dinner, since I wasn’t able to learn from class today, both Mina and I went together to my desk.
In Mina’s notebook, there were even more things written there that were not there yesterday.
Reading the round, cute penmanship of Mina, I then transcribed it on my notebook.
With her proper and pretty notes, I felt like I understood the 6 hours worth of lessons.
「Mina, thanks a lot.」
「Mou~, next time, do it by yourself, ok?」
「Ok, don’t worry.」
After all, all the hazy feelings I had were stolen away completely by Mina.
Entering the bath together, I washed Mina, who was still scared of the shower, and got washed in return by Mina.
I wonder why I’m so happy with just the fact that I am together with Mina?
Even just sleeping together on the bed, it never felt that way before.
「Tonight feels a little cold….」
It’s nearly December. The weather newsman said that the temperature will be in the single digits at most. (IcedTea: Celsius.)
「You’re right.」
When Mina was still a cat, I had to be careful with my posture so that I wouldn’t hurt Mina when she cuddled me.
Turning off the lights, the room turned dark, like it had been outside for awhile.
「Did you know that I was born on a day like this?」
I got Mina from a foster parent, so I didn’t know when she was born.
「Is that so…..that’s right, I heard your birthday will be tomorrow, right?」(Kasumi)
「You’re right. I didn’t notice because I didn’t really understand the calendar before…」
My eyes were getting used to the darkness, and suddenly, I noticed that Mina’s face was near me.
Imagining that we will be kissing after this, my head heated up really fast.
「Then, good night, Mina. 」
「Good night, Kasumi.」
Even if I close my eyes, I totally can’t sleep at all.
Is it because I forgot to take out the thick blanket? Is it because my body is cold? Or is it because I kept thinking of kissing with Mina—that my heart kept beating?
「Kasumi, are you still awake?」
Suddenly hearing Kasumi’s voice……….
「Y-yeah…..」
「Today’s cold, after all」
Hearing Mina say that, I’m sure that she too can’t sleep. But still, the voice I heard is more gentle than usual.
「Sorry, I forgot to take out the winter blanket.」
「No, it’s alright.」
Suddenly, Mina’s face got closer. I unconsciously closed my eyes.
Our lips didn’t connect, but I felt Mina’s warmth.
「……If it’s like this, then it’s warm, right?」
「Y-yes. You’re right.」
A distance of about a breath. This way still makes my heart beat faster.
…..But still, for sure, it’s warm….it feels good.
「Then, goodnight.」
「Yeah…..goodnight.」
With Mina’s warmth and smell, it felt so good that they invited me to sleep.
Absentmindedly looking at her sleeping face, I dizzily fell into dreamland.
