The morning of the next day, Liz was woken up from her dreams by a knock on the door.
She had had a restless night, half because she was amazed at herself for acting so boldly in front of the CEO, and half because she wondered whether she had done too much.
Over and over again, she had been replaying that moment in her head when she had told the CEO those final lines.
The scent coming from him had once again reminded her of all of her favorite things, only, it was much stronger because she was so close.
She could see his skin, and thus, she noticed the quiver in his body when she had talked.
She had no idea about the reason behind that quiver, and this was another question that had plagued her, not allowing her to fall asleep.
In fact, this bending forward thing hadn't even been on her agenda.
It had been a spur of the moment thing, as she had felt like she HAD to make a statement with those words.
Regardless, what was done was done.
The only thing left to see was whether the CEO would take this in the right way, or whether he would do something like scream at her again, like at their dinner before.
Of course, things had been different then, but Liz had still promised herself one thing.
If something like that happened again, she would definitely not hesitate to leave completely.
She didn't even need many reasons to take this decision- all she knew was that she couldn't take it, so this was reason enough.
With this thought and all those from the night before still in her head, Liz couldn't comprehend where she was and what she was doing for a little while.
After the knock sounded again, she finally came to her senses and was just about to go to the door, but paused when she looked at herself in the mirror.
She just had a panty with cute pink teddy bears on, with her upper body bare.
Yelping with slight shock, she quickly used a bathrobe nearby to cover herself up, feeling glad in her head that she hadn't absentmindedly gone in that state to greet whoever had come.
As a third knock sounded, Liz opened the door.
"Good morning, Miss. Elizabeth. We hope you slept well. This was sent by Mr. William, who has a message in the envelope placed here. Have a nice day!"
Saying so, the waiter who was at the door pushed in a table and left, leaving Liz staring at the amazing spread that had been sent for her.
French Toast, eggs done 3 ways, bacon, fish steak, a prawn platter and the most delicious-smelling coffee that Liz had ever seen.
All in all, this was a feast fit for a King.
At the stunning display of food, Liz couldn't help but smile.
Looking for the envelope, she found it and quickly opened it.
"Miss. Elizabeth.
I would like you to know that I understand what you had to say, loud and clear. Your schedule seems to be free until 4 ' o clock, so unless you have any pressing things like yesterday, will you please join me downstairs by 11?
Your's Faithfully
William Bradshaw"
Blushing a little on seeing the part where the CEO had referred to her actions the day before, Liz couldn't help but jump a little on the spot with happiness.
He hadn't taken it the wrong way!
At least, for now, things looked great!
At this moment, Liz tried to figure out her own feelings.
Indeed, just as she told Keren, she didn't know what she felt for the CEO.
But one thing was for certain: there was something there-it was this something which had made her mind go blank all those times before, and it was this something that had been beaten into the ground when she had been hurt.
Still, with time, that something was growing back, like a seed that would actually sprout and grow taller the deeper it was kicked into the ground.
She was excited to find out what that something was-that was all.
This was what Liz told herself while re-reading the letter and smiling to herself again.
However, she got one doubt:
How was she supposed to say yes?
Was she supposed to call him and say so?
Just as Liz was going to, she saw something else in the corner of her eye on the table she had seen before.
There was a small box, with two buttons that were labeled "Yes" and "No".
Liz was honestly surprised. The CEO had the time to whip up something like this in the short span between last night and now.
Still, it was a nice touch.
Thinking that it was just something that transmitted the answer to the CEO, Liz pressed "Yes" without hesitation.
CLICK
As a sound echoed in the room, she jumped back with slight shock.
Below the box, there was apparently a small compartment which had just now popped out.
Walking forward with curiosity, Liz saw that there was a key inside, wrapped with a ribbon.
A key? What could it be for?
Liz had never been someone who could control her curiosity for long, but in this case, she had no other option.
However, this whole thing about the box and the surprise key felt so….exciting!
Not bothering to control her emotions, Liz took the table to a chair nearby and started to tuck in.
It was already 9: 00 am, and she wanted enough time to get ready properly, so she didn't stuff herself too much.
Everything tasted excellent, and the prawns were actually so good that she decided to ask later what the dish called.
Of course, this was to be expected, as they were currently in the best 5-star hotel in Seattle, which was close to the Casino that Keren and Mr. Will would be opening today.
At 11 sharp, Liz was checking herself in front of the mirror, ready to go out.
'Ok, Liz, don't screw this up! Just be yourself!'
'Or maybe a little less yourself. Why drive him crazy on just your first date?'
'What? Date? Is this a date?'
'Man, you are dumb.'
For once, Liz didn't argue.
