"About the-"

"It was my fault! I tripped. It won't happen again."

As Will saw Liz cut him off in this fashion and look down again with that blush creeping into her cheeks, he could do nothing else but pause and stare.

Just when he had been feeling that the urge to feel her hands again had been weird, she had actually moved forward and fallen into his embrace.

At that moment, Will had been consumed by the worry that she wasn't fine. Hence, when he had felt her soft cheeks and the gentle weight of her head on his chest, he had no choice but to freeze.

What Liz hadn't known was that her upper body had also come into contact with Will's, as she had, after all, tripped and fallen forward.

Hence, the sensation of her breasts pressing against his abs had also been something that had led him to being overwhelmed.

It wasn't even like this was his first time hugging someone. Yet, there had just been something which had made him act in that manner.

And when Liz had moved back, he had once again been left with the feeling that it would have been nice if that moment had stretched on for longer.

However, these kinds of emotions and thoughts only existed for mere moments before being crushed into oblivion by the damaged and frozen heart inside him.

Still, he had taken the decision that he at least wanted to apologize properly, which was the intention behind him making the dinner before happen in the first place.

Only, he had been stymied because he hadn't known how to bring it up.

Now, as he heard her say these words, he decided on what he wanted to say.

"I know, it's all right. It looks as if our dinner always gets interrupted by something or the other. Do you want to join me tomorrow for lunch?"

Hearing his question, Liz looked up, as his tone didn't seem as cold as it usually did.

"Tomorrow? Don't we have important work to do?"

"We do, but there will definitely be enough time to grab a bite. I'm asking if we can do so together."

"Won't Keren be there?"

"Keren? There might just be more things to occupy her…"

At this, Liz raised her eyebrows.

So the CEO was actually admitting to the fact that he had made the dinner happen?

And he wanted to do so again to get more time alone with her?

What were his intentions? Did he just want to apologize? Or could it be something…more?

As she struggled to find the answers to these questions, she saw someone walking towards them in the hallway.

"Will, if you want to be alone with her, you should just tell me."

Indeed, it was Keren, and she seemed to have heard their conversation.

This time, it was the turn of the CEO to look around with a hint of embarrassment.

"Keren, I don't know what you are talking about. I just wanted to-"

"Save it. Liz, I have something to discuss with you. Mind if I come in?"

As Liz nodded instinctually, Keren said, "Good," and opened the door with a keycard.

Meanwhile, Liz felt a need to sort her mind, so she just said "Good night," before entering the room.

She didn't know how to answer the CEO, so she used the opportunity to leave without having to give an answer.

As for Keren, she entered the doorway and obstructed the vision of her brother, who had followed Liz with his eyes.

"So, was I reading too much into it?"

Knowing that she was referring to their previous conversation where he had said that Liz was only different, Will answered, "Yes, you were. We can talk later. So, why are you here anyway? What do you want to talk to my PA about?"

Seeing her brother answer in this way, Keren shrugged but decided to let the matter go. Since childhood, he had never been the type to be coerced into giving an answer he wasn't willing to give.

Still, there was nothing stopping her from shooting a jab at him.

"None of your business. And like I said before, next time you want to have a date, just tell me."

Leaving these words, Keren closed the door behind her, leaving a glaring CEO who had no option but to walk away.
