Lyndon massaged his throbbing temple with his fingers as he keep on thinking on how to appease his clients regarding their missing and damaged shipments.
He clearly knew that monetary compensation won't do the work as he had been working with them since he was still the president of Lincoln Corporation. He managed to bring some of his important clients with him when he took over the position in L&L Empire and he could not afford to lose them in this kind of happening.
He had busied himself with his unending meetings with their clients personally as he wanted to apologize and to see what he could do to reimburse their damaged products.
It was clearly lunch time but still, work has to come first. Maybell informed him about his lunch meeting with one of their partner, the Ze Corporation.
They were the one who was about to sign contracts with his rival company but he managed to convince them to stay as they had more they could offer once the merging happened and it all came true.
When Ze Corporation learned that their goods were damaged and some of it were missing, they were truly angered and demanded compensation from the L&L Empire.
Lyndon promised to hear them out and also said that he will be personally handling the case as he had damaged his own goods too.
Maybell booked a private room in a five-star restaurant near the L&L Empire for the lunch meeting. They headed there together as she briefed Lyndon about what Ze Corporation had wanted from them.
Lyndon was the first to arrive and ordered some food on the table. After a few minutes, the CEO of Ze Corporation arrived together with his secretary.
The man was named Damian Ze.
Lyndon knew that he is a sly as a fox but he is no ordinary man too.
He stood up to welcome the man.
"Good noon... CEO Ze..." he offered a handshake to the man.
"Same to you.. CEO Lincoln." Damian Ze accepted his handshake.
"Please sit down CEO Ze... I have ordered some of your favorites..." Lyndon started.
Damian did not speak and just proceeded his meal without waiting for Lyndon. He could not care to save some face for him as they had done wrong this time.
Lyndon followed the suit and did not say anything else this time but deep within him he was clearly embarassed by the man.
They had their meal first and did not talk about the business they're supposed to talk to. Maybell had been silent throughout the meal and so as CEO Ze's secretary.

Lyndon did not bother to do so. He could not care as long as he could get done with this mannerless person.
"CEO Ze... I know that your products were totally damaged and what you had asked us is quite difficult to give but then, I know that it's our fault on the other end... but still what you are asking is not within my hands..." Lyndon started.

"CEO Ze... What I can do least of the most is that to compensate you of damages and the profit could not be included. I have some damage goods also and I had no way to recover it..."

"CEO Lincoln... I know that it was quite a huge sum for us but then, for the L&L Empire, it's just a day's profit... Or else... I'll severe our contracts and find some shipping company..."
"Do you know how much it cost to cancel our contracts? Based on what I've learned recently, your company did not do well in the market and actually some of your products were bargained at the lowest price just to sell it..." Lyndon scoffed. He could not actually believe that the man had threatened him to drop their contracts.
