Lyndon sat on the couch. Staring at the ceiling but his thoughts are somewhere. At the very moment, he suddenly feel afraid. His hands are balled in to fists and he's shaking somehow.
He did not have a bestfriend to be his best man, instead, he give it to Mr. Raynolds to do the honor. The door opens as the face of Mr. Raynolds pops in and pushes the door. He called his young master to his attention but it seemed like his thoughts are warped somewhere. He, as a man can understand his feelings so well. He may not have a child but he considered Lyndon to be his and also his one true friend. Also as a man that have been married before, he completely understand what he is thinking.
He cleared his throat loudly. Hoping that it will bring his attention and also it can distract him having some negative thoughts. And he successfully did.
Lyndon snapped back at reality when he heard someone's clearing throat. He looked towards Mr. Raynolds' figure.
He did not know that his face has carried the unusual worry in it but Mr. Raynolds' did not. He perfectly noticed the young man's expression which brought to him on a thought but before doing so, he almost let out a chuckle. Seeing his expression, amused the middle-aged man.
"Ahem.. Are you okay Young Master?" he asked when he noticed that the groom is about to drift his mind somewhere again.
Lyndon let out a small sigh then shook his head. He did not want to have these second thoughts but he don't know why he couldn't stop.
"Is this the right thing to do Uncle Dan?" he asked while gazing at Mr. Raynolds with the unusual worry in his face.
"If you ask me Young Master, I don't know. As far as I've known Ms. Misha, I do like her. She is not the same woman that is only after your wealth and status. You know what I mean and just think about it, she will not have any reason to run-away from you because from now on, you are husband and wife. Have confidence in yourself Young Master. Don't tell me, you plan to run and abandon the young Miss?" after saying this, Mr. Raynolds had a little smile on the corner on his lips.
No. He doesn't want that. All he wanted to do is to make Misha happy for the rest of their lives. He did not plan to abandon Misha here. Just by the thought of it, he could not help but feel great pain in him. It was the least thing he will do. No. He will not do it ever in this lifetime.
The man was taken aback and suddenly thought of the past two weeks they had in Paris. He strived harder to court Misha even being called a bum by Brandon. He did took it all just because he did not want that Misha will have second thoughts of marrying him. He sacrificed many for her and made her smile more often because he did not want to see his woman unhappy.
He then stood up with his white suit. He locked the cufflinks in his suit while stroding towards the door and followed by Mr. Raynolds.
"Thank you Uncle Dan." he said while they were almost at the door. His eyes with all the sincerity.
"It's my pleasure young Master. Let's go. It's almost time. We can't have the bride to wait for us, right?" the bestman smile at him.
"Yep."
With this he grabbed the door knob and pulled the door inwardly as they came out to the room with all smiles and a settled heart.
