Taking a step out of the room mi jung could finally see something different. The hallway was a very spacious one and it was complete white. It was so white no one would believe that people were using it. Not one speck of dust could be seen. Mi jung saw a nurse showing inside her palm for a second before getting inside a room. So that's how they open, no wonder he couldn't get out.
They silently walked inside the silent hallway at the end another door was seen. Manager jin showed his palm and the doors opened to a little cabin. Once they were inside the little cabin, mi jung saw another door but it didn't open. He could see that they were quite above the ground and he wondered how they were going to get down. The cabin they were inside didn't seem like an elevator.
He curiously asked haneul. "Aren't we too high up? How are we going to get down?"
Haneul raised his eyebrows and just when he was about to answer a platform came in front of the door out of nowhere. Mi jung couldn't hold back his exclamation and made a slight noise of shock. Haneul thought he looked like a little kid seeing the world for the first time. Even the stoic faced manager thought it was a little bit entertaining. It was obvious the two were enjoying mi jung's reactions.
The door opened an a mechanic voice said something in sesgado. They boarded the platform and since it didn't have any protection or whatsoever mi jung uncounciously clinged to haneul's arm. A slight smile was seen on haneul's face. "We are not going down. We are going up."
Mi jung was horrified they were already so high in the sky and now they were going higher. What are you going to do after going higher? Are you a bird or a human? A human belongs to the ground not to the sky.
Platform moved up but stopped after two floors. Two other people boarded the platform since it was a very big one, it could probably hold up to fifty to hundred people. Platform started going up again and didn't stop till they were finally on the rooftop. There were a lot of strange vehicles flying in the sky and none of them collided. Mi jung felt his soul leaving his newly acquired body a second time. This was too much! Flying cars!
Seeing mi jung freezing haneul wanted to laugh out loud. Pushing him from his back to forward "Don't freeze, we need to go before papparazi floods here."
Mi jung nodded his head and walked forward staggering a little resulting in haneul supporting him with his hands both on his back and arm. Right at that moment a flash went out. Haneul knew they screwed up. He wishpered on mi jung's ear instantly.
"Don't show any expression, especially don't look shocked and don't hide your face. We have to walk fast." Mi jung gave a nod almost impossible to see. And they started walking with steadyfast steps to a nearby black car.
It wasn't hard for mi jung to make an expressionless face. Over course of twenty years as grace he made himself more than a thousand masks to wear as expressions. While they were walking people came out from different cars to take photos and some of them got really close and asked questions but mi jung couldn't understand what they were asking. So he gave them a reassuring smile and went inside the car that took off right next second.
The man with the camera that was closest to mi jung froze for a second and forgot to take a photo of that smile. 'A fairy' was all they could think about.
After the young man left he regretted till his intestines turned green and surely he wasn't the only one feeling that way.
Inside the car wasn't very big or small either. It was khaki colored and the seats were comfortable. Manager jin was driving or should he say flying the car. There were four seats at the back and two on the front, one being the driver seat and the other passanger seat.
"Hyung,did you see how many of them came? And how did they come here before us? Aren't they too fast?"Haneul asked from the back seat. Jin hwan nodded his head.
"We are certain there is a mole in the PR team. We traced every IP belonging company's staff but got nothing. I guess transactions are done personally. In any case mi jung handled it well."
Mi jung didn't even hear what they were talking about. He was busy looking out the window, since this was his first time flying. He was fascinated at how fast these cars were going and how high up they were.There were a lot of cars flying from all directions in a line. All these people living in the sky, isn't there anyone afraid of heights?
