I had been waiting, full of expectation, for this – for my new school life…or so it was supposed to be. It was meant to be full of cute upperclassmen, with tons of people that could become my friends…
I was so excited for the beginning of a new part of my life that I couldn’t even sleep last night, and I’ll admit I was certainly overly enthusiastic when I got up this morning.
But, but but but!
“It wasn’t supposed to be like this!”
I raised my voice, shouting out slightly louder than I usually would, but in this case I was justified.
Even after I did a double take, however, the scene that was unfolding before my very eyes showed absolutely no sign of changing.
I’ve already done a double take though – about ten times. Since I’ve been continuously violently twisted my neck, from another person’s point of view, I probably look incredibly suspicious.
But, I don’t really care about that.
Right now, what was being held before me by the upperclassmen of the “Cultural Clubs – the only clubs allowed” was the Private School, Mikagura Academy’s grandest feature, the Freshman Welcoming Party.
But…
This is completely! Absolutely! Entirely! 180°! In every way different from the welcoming party I had expecteeeeeeeed!?”
