The Chen couple was still driving towards their apartment complex from their visit to the Chen Family household.
Xue Jinxu's little and first episode of jealousy was settled immediately by the couple. They were all lovey-dovey again.
"We've formally greeted the Chen family. What should we do with the Xue Family?" Chen Linyun asked while driving.
Xue Jinxu smiled her genuine smile. She's feeling quite good despite the recent events. "Let's tell them. If you want, we can head to our house tonight. It will officially end the betrothal."
"I'm scared, but we have to do this, right?" She was staring at him intently, waiting for his reply.
"You mean now?" Chen Linyun's grip on the steering wheel tightened.
Xue Jinxu was being impulsive.
"If you're not comfortable, we can delay." Xue Jinxu compromised. "Up to you, dear." Her forehead was dominated with horizontal lines.
"Are you sure about this, Jinxu? Shouldn't we wait until we resolve the capsizing incident first? You have that much confidence in me? You think they will be able to accept us?" Chen Linyun inquired, full of worry.
"What if it doesn't get resolved? Our marriage… The news of it is a ticking time bomb. I'm worried of their reaction, but I'm more worried that they will know it from the outside. We should break the news to them. I'm hoping it will be soon."
"They cannot do anything about it whether they give their blessing or not. Although I'm really hoping that they will give their blessing to us so that we can start our life together, you know, right and at peace."

She had been too positively captivated by the unexpectedly warm welcome with the Chen family that she even suggested going straight to their household. However, the situation was so much different when it pertains to the Xue household compared to the Chen household.

Grampa Xue saw her arms clinging around Chen Linyun's arm. He also spotted those particular rings on his granddaughter's hand. It wasn't too hard to deduce a sound conclusion.
"You seem to have gotten married, Xu-er. Your rings. To whom? To Mister Chen Linyun, I suppose?" Grampa's voice was low but powerful. It gave one the chills. He was initially staring her arms around his arm, then at the rings, then his stare lingered at Chen Linyun.
"G-Grampa… Yes. We got married. Please give us your blessings."
"Tsk." Grampa made this clicking of the tongue in strong disapproval He squinted his eyes. "NEVER!"
"Jinxu, you're going to the Old Mansion right this instance. The lawyer will come shortly with the paperworks for your divorce."
The couple was alarmed. Xue Jinxu gasped. Her tears started to flow.

Mother Xue was speechless too. This was the first time that she saw her daughter in quite a close proximity with a man, who was even holding her hand. Xue Jinxu seemed fine with it, and even appeared to be protectively standing by him.
"Xu-er, leave him at once, and come into the house this instance." Grampa Xue commanded. "Go over to our side, NOW."
"No Grampa, I'm not going with you."
"You are." As if on cue, two uniformed bodyguards appeared from nowhere. They were dragging Xue Jinxu towards the mansion.

He directed his focus on Grampa Xue.
