"What do you want to eat? I'll cook our lunch." Xue Jinxu asked her lover.
"I will eat whatever you cook, milady." He said dotingly.
She checked the time, it's currently fifteen minutes before eleven in the morning. They were in the grocery, buying the ingredients for their lunch.
Chen Linyun had asked her to cook food for them. It was supposedly a punishment, but it did not seem like a punishment at all. She readily agreed.
"Alright, I'll cook some pepper steak stir-fry, orange chicken and fried rice." She said sweetly. She had grabbed his arm and was now rubbing her head on his shoulder.
"Okay. Looking forward to it." That was an understatement. Because he had long been anticipating to finally be able to taste her cooking. Finally, the day had come.
They went on with their grocery shopping. He was pushing the cart while she was busy sorting out the ingredients in her mind, and inspecting the available ingredients on the shelves. She was so busy comparing all the options for each ingredient, while being mindful of the time. She wanted to complete the grocery shopping latest by eleven in the morning. Her schedule was tight, she wanted them to eat at around a few minutes after twelve. She did not want her man to starve.
Behind the cart, Chen Linyun was blissfully contented with every moment spent with her, watching her. She was indeed very lady-like with her guise today. It made his heart beat a little bit faster. She was going all out today! And no doubt, for him!
They came back after the grocery. She seemed serious with the task. She had him wait in the living room. "It won't take long. You can sleep while waiting, better rest while at home."
Chen Linyun's heart warmed at her words. It was like the wife urging the husband to get some rest for a while. And had she called this apartment their home?
Then home sweet home it was.
He slouched at the couch. He had noticed the blown-up and framed photograph that was hanging on the wall. Actually, it was so big that it's not so difficult to notice it, but he had not given it enough justice before. It was their photograph together – all four of them - one pleasant Saturday when they had cucumber face masks on. It was artistically taken such that it was far from ugly. It had aesthetics.
'Yeah, the quality is befitting of a former Art School student. I almost forgot that side of her.' He thought.
"Jinxu" He called.
"Mhmm?" She was slicing and chopping at the table top.
"So you hang our picture with face mask on after all?" Chen Linyun asked.
"Yeah! I like it! See? It's good right? Guangxi always flinches whenever he sees that." She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, it's good. Quite artistically taken." He praised his woman.
"Why, thanks, mister. I don't get that a lot." Xue Jinxu was pleased. She even curtsied behind the countertop.
"Say, Jinxu. If you don't have to be the COO, what would you be doing?" Chen Linyun asked. He was quite interested with her answer. Once Guangxi takes over, for sure she would have plenty of free time in her hands. She could pursue anything she wants by then.
"Probably something related to Art. That was my original dream after all." She said while busy cooking.
'I knew it.' Chen Linyun guessed it right.
His motivation to do well in his business had soared through the roof. He had found another reason to excel. He wanted to free his woman of responsibilities, so that she could do what she truly wanted.
The pleasant aroma of the dishes she was cooking wafted in the air. Chen Linyun was becoming more and more excited, not to mention, he was drooling now.
"It's almost done, dear~~" Xue Jinxu said lovingly.
"I can't wait." He stood up from the couch and headed towards the table where all the dishes were presented side-by-side each other. He was rubbing his hands together with so much anticipation.
She handed him the chopsticks. She was smiling. Even her almond eyes were smiling with her. She was equally as excited as Chen Linyun. It was the first time that she ever cooked for him. Most of the time it was him who fed her.
They were seated across each other. She had not picked up her chopsticks yet. Instead her elbows were resting on the table while her hands were clasped together, below her chin. She was waiting for his reaction with his first bite.
He took a bite of the pepper steak stir-fry. "Hmm. It's good." He said. He got another, and another. He also tried out the orange chicken and the fried rice. He was eating continuously.
"Eat slowly, dear~~" Xue Jinxu reminded him. She poured water onto his glass.
He stopped.
"Why aren't you eating?" He was so excited about the meals that he had forgotten her altogether.
"Just seeing you eat my food makes me full already~~~" She was unusually sweet and loving today. He was actually not used to it, but anything from his woman was welcomed by him, especially this kind of treatment.
He should thank the heavens for all this blessings. He could cry from so much joy! He did not know that this day would come. Hallelujah!
He grabbed her arm and motioned her to stand up, which she did. Then he motioned her to sit on his lap, which she also did. The lady's cheeks turned glowing pink again. Her heart went *thump* *thump* *thump* at a pace that was not considered normal already. She naturally wrapped her arms across her neck, and rested them on his shoulders. "Why? What's wrong?" She asked softly.
"Nothing. I'm just happy. Thank you." He raised his head to kiss her tender lips.
She reciprocated the kiss. She held his cheek with her hands and deepened the kiss further. With their position now, her head was higher than his. She was bowing down to meet his lips. Their tongues knew what to do.
They were deep in the kiss when they heard something similar to a door opening. They opted to ignore it but then they heard a gasp. 'Huh!'
