"Why is it so dark in this damned place?" I snap, rubbing a hand along the back of my head. I'd been in here for a good couple minutes now, but I couldn't see a darn thing at all.

Licking my lips, I raise my hand and bite on my finger. I was feeling a little bit of anxiety if something were to attack right now, I would be completely open.

"Envy do something!" I growl at him. He's been giggling quietly for a while now. I had no idea what was so funny, but I didn't really have any desire to know what he was laughing at either way. If was a bit deranged, to say the least.

All of a sudden a small light starts to shine, and then it turns into a bright glow. Envy's body started to glow green, it cast a creepy light in the room we were sitting in. He was a couple feet away from me, but I moved towards him, sitting down right next to him.

"When did you become a glorified nightlight?" I ask, reaching a hand out to touch his arm. It was glowing brightly from his veins and then pushing outwards into the rest of his skin. It was like he was generating bioluminescent liquid inside of his body.

"A clown never reveals his secrets," he chuckles.

"It's a magician that never reveals his secrets, you idiot," I say rolling my eyes.

I slowly got a sense for the room that we're in now because of his glow. It seemed like it was actually a rather large room, there wasn't to much detail in the room, there were a lot of cobwebs and dust. It reminded me a bit of a tomb.

It seems like no one had been in here for a long while. There were a few pillars spread throughout the room. However, there was only so much of the room that could be illuminated by Envy's glow.

Pushing myself up, I brush a hand down my butt to get rid of the dust and then I cast a look at the perverted clown. His eyes are trained on my butt, I throw my leg out and kick him in the stomach. A deranged laugh crawls out of his mouth.

Mental note to self this clown loves to be hit.

"Get up, we've got to find a way out of this and you're my light," I say beginning to walk forward. There was some rubble here and there but the most part, it was the same stone floor that I had grown accustomed to walking around in the maze.

"I'd love to do more for you than just be a light," his playful voice sounded right by my ear. Wrinkling my nose, I chose to ignore him. Lest to give him the satisfaction of my annoyance.

I wonder, how long I had actually been in the maze, it was hard to tell time here anymore. Plus I didn't feel the need to sleep, it was like my body was running on an endless amount of fuel.

Envy quickly caught up with me, he pressed his body close to mine. I just scoffed and let him, seeing as he was my light source I saw no point in not letting him.

I was just like a moth, I was only this close because I was attracted by the light. I mentally told myself.

We kept going forward at a steady pace, looking around I noticed that the room was starting to change. The floor had turned from stone to marble and the pillars were looking neater and actually a lot cleaner, it didn't look as abandoned as before.

Soon we came upon torches that had a fire, it cast eerie light across the room. The flickering flame of the fire made shadows in the room. Thankfully, the glow of Envy with the firelight managed to turn the room into a pretty well lite area.

"Is there a lower level to the maze?" I ask out loud.

"It seems to be that way, or this could be somewhere else, I'd never left the room of clowns before, I can't tell you much about this area at all," Envy elaborated as his hand snaked around my waist and pulls me back into his chest.

I open my mouth to snap at him, but an arrow whizzes past the area that I had just been standing in. It would seem that he moved me out of the way.

"It also appears that we've got some company," he chuckles lightly in my ear. He pulls me back and more arrows fall where we'd just been. He navigates us behind a pillar and his glow also vanishes, the room grows significantly darker.

"Great," I mutter reaching to draw my sword, but Envy reached his hand out and stopped me from completely drawing it.

"Wait a moment," his tone was rather serious," I'll draw them out, there only two archers. But there might be some other footsoldiers hiding. You stay put let me clean them up," his voice was no longer playful.

Maybe getting thrown down here had knocked something right in his head.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

A wide grin slides onto his once tense face, reaching a hand down he grabs my head quickly and presses his lips to mine. His mouth was quite warm and firm against mine, his tongue darted out and licked my lips lightly.

My eyes widen! This bloody pervert, I thought he was being decent for once and it turns out that he's the same old same old.

As quickly as he had gone to kiss me, he removed his lips from mine. Casting a smirking glance back at me he ducks around the pillar. Grinding my teeth, I peek my head out looking around the pillar.

Envy was like a flash as he darted forward, his body moved just like a snake bending and giving in all the right places to create a beautiful dance. The arrows flew around his body as if they were being misfired, but it was all thanks to his skill.

He advanced seamlessly, however, from the right a flash of metal could be seen. I open my mouth, but before I could a knife appeared out of Envy's hand and the sound of a knife entering a body could be heard.

A single scream sounded, but it quickly ended. But this momentary distraction didn't stop Envy at all. If anything the moment increased his movements, the distance between the archer and Envy was closing quickly.

Hundred...

More little goblins began to appear from the shadows of the hallway. He quickly dispatched of them, cleanly cutting their throats.

Fifty...

He was getting closer to the archer, however, the first knife finally managed to pierce into him, it was supposed to hit him in the stomach but he moved his hand down. He managed to catch it with his arm, the knife was no bigger than the palm of my hand.

But it slides easily through the palm of his hand.

This didn't stop him at all.

Twenty-five...

Sweat was starting to appear on his forehead. It would appear that he was feeling the pressure now.

A slight sound behind me caught my attention, turning around a goblin was lunging towards me. My body moved on its own, I stepped forward catching the throat of the goblin with my hand. There was a knife in its hand and it tried to slash at me with it.

Growling, I quickly constrict his throat with my hand, I quickly heard the sound of its neck snapping. Its large eyes rolled backward, his mouth had saliva running out of it. Quickly, I toss the disgusting thing away.

Turning my attention back to Envy, he was close now from the two archers.

Ten feet. In that instance, a two knives left his hands and they flew through the air like missiles. The two goblin archers looked taken aback at the turn of events, they tried to defend against the knives that had been thrown towards them.

But it was like the knifes had a mind of their own, they changed directions evading the defenses of the goblins and finding home in their neck. Blood began to gush out of the wound on their neck like a broken fire hydrant.

Envy crossed the small distance between them and retrieved the knives from their necks, giving their body a slight kick to make sure that they are dead.

He kicked them a fair amount, a little more than was necessary.

Stepping out from around the pillar, I begin to walk towards him. Survey the carnage that spread around the ground, they'd all been cleanly killed.

"Even you have a serious side," I say coming to a stop in front of him.
