The time that it took for him to cross the wide swath of land and to reach the woman. A lot had transpired even though it had only been a mere couple seconds. He wanted nothing more than to reach out and grab that woman, it was a primal instinct of sorts.

He'd never been one to care about other people, but the massive strength and beauty of that woman had drawn his attention.

The Dragon had lunged forward in the blink of an eye, it moved so fast it was like a freight train crushing through the dunes. Its bones creaked at the harsh movement, it no longer had the Jelly like membrane encasing them.

It's booming rawr crashed through the airwaves and blew the hair back on the face of the woman that he was racing towards. Her face was set in a grim line as she watched the Dragon approach her with a cold glare.

The violent wind knocked her hair and her jacket all around, at that moment she looked a lot like a warring goddess, the man couldn't help but think as his eyes were glued to her figure. He thought that her black hair and red eyes were enchanting.

She didn't flinch at all, it was as if she'd been carved out of stone, he found that to be beautiful.

He forced his red wings onwards, to move faster and to cut through the air.

At this point, only a second had passed in the time it had taken for him to decide to intervene and try to save the black haired beauty.

The black snake shot forward and tried to slow the forceful Dragon. Its body was still huge it did its best to stop the Dragon, but the Dragon was dead set on crushing the woman. The only thought on its head was bathing in the blood of that evil woman.

She'd taken everything from it; it'd been the best the strongest. Its whole world had crashed down in a matter of minutes, it could feel the grievous wounds that had been inflicted on it.

With even more vigor the beast wildly crashed through the dunes, in a short amount of time the beast had arrived quickly in front of the woman.

The man with the red wings watched on with bated breath and a stressed expression on his face. He wasn't going to make it to the woman in time, with the Dragon literal over top of her, he knew that she was going to be smashed into nothingness.

At this time point, a grand total of three seconds had passed.

By the fourth second the Dragon raised a clawed hand and swiped it towards the black hair woman, her eyes narrowed and in that instant, the deer that she was standing on shrunk and the woman wrapped her arms around its next and then it vanished.

He pushed his glasses up on his nose as he tried to locate the woman, it had been only for an instant but she had completely vanished from his view for about .0001 seconds, which was an almost finite amount of time.

It was something that most people wouldn't take notice of... but this man had a strong grasp on time and space if one wanted they could think of him as a god of time. However, there was a stipulation on this skill as any other, he couldn't teleport... yet.

How he wished that he could teleport at this moment in time.

She reappeared atop the head of the Dragon, she stood firm as she jumped down towards the front of its face and reached for the spear that was still jutting out of the eye socket of the Dragon.

A deathly screech left the mouth of the Dragon at the sudden removal of the eyesore, a slimy grey liquid poured out of the ghastly black of the sunken eye socket. It shook its head and kept screeching.

It was angry, so angry, grey smoke steamed out of its nostrils at its anger. However, it didn't have any time to waste on being angry, because in the next second it felt a horrific presence, jerking its head it tried to throw the woman off of it.

Yet, she stayed on much like a bug. Growling it wanted to roll, it couldn't take to the skies because it had lost one of its precious wings and it'd also had all the magic sucked dry from it.

As if cursing itself, another searing surge of pain hit it again. Screeching it threw it's body to the ground and tried to roll.

It'd lost another wing, its hollowed eyes leaked even more of the grey liquid out of them, it also began to pour out of the stubs of its now empty wings joints.

As the wing fell to the ground it made a large impression in the ground, almost sinking below the upper surface of the sand.

Death...

Was this the end of it?

It raised its head slightly and looked towards the woman, that stood a bit in front of it. Her face was lifted into a deathly smile, the Dragon felt fear at that moment. She was like the grim reaper at that moment, nothing about her was feminine, she inspired a terror in the dying Dragon.

"Kill him," she mutters and with the sound of laughter the Dragon's life to come to an end.

It's head rolled from its neck, it glanced at it once magnificent body before the last ounce of life fleed from its body.

The man that was now in front of the woman, felt like he'd witness a miracle... but that wasn't right... that woman, he looked at her now that he was closer to her he could see even more of her. She had some of the grey liquid from the Dragon splattered across her face and she just gave a grin.

That look on her face sent a ghastly shiver up his spine... that woman would haunt his nightmares, and his other dreams for a long time.

He hovered above the ground only about ten feet away from the slain body of the Dragon. Finally, seeming to sense his presence, the woman turned her head and looked him dead in the eyes. A bloodied light seems to glow in her eye as she peered into his own with her ruby eyes.

A cough left his mouth and he raised a hand.

"Hi," he simply said as he gave a crooked smile towards the raven-haired woman.
