The security footage consisted of no sound, but the images on the screen were clear. A small girl wearing a white and red demon fox mask emerged on the screen. Alongside her, stood a tall man with a smiling mask, concealing his face.

Tobias had long known that the man standing beside the girl was Shen Jue. During his phone call outside the hospital, his assistant notified him of an email holding a video file.

To be exact, it was the security footage of the scene at the nightclub.

When looking into it previously, all the footage had been erased - until now. Tobias presumed the one who sent him the footage was Shen Jue.

As for the man's motives, he was unsure.

Tobias watched the footage play with dark, emotionless eyes. When the image of Yu Feng appeared, his gaze gradually grew colder.

Though he couldn't hear what was being said, he could see the evident fear on the middle-aged man's face while he and the masked man conversed. Throughout their entire exchange, the girl in the white fox demon mask stood quietly on the side.

The masked man stood up and leaned over toward Yu Feng saying words that caused him to shiver in terror. Tobias's pupils contracted.

That's when it happened.

At that moment, four men approached the girl from behind. One of the men elevated his hand and struck the girl on the face, her small body slamming against the floor. Tobias's breathing became extremely light, the bottom of his heart wincing in pain.

How could anyone treat the small girl so brutally?

Why couldn't he be there to protect her from getting injured or suffering the slightest inconvenience?

As he thought this, Tobias's expression remained motionless. Juno, who stood on the side while his boss watched the security footage, observed his indifferent face.

However, upon closer inspection, one could see the blue veins on his trembling fist protrude his true reaction. It was evident how much he was suppressing the urge to destroy everything in front of him.

Juno too had watched the footage. He knew how important Mimi was to his boss. To see the girl he pampered and cared for, abused in such a way, he would obviously feel enraged.

The footage finished playing.

In spite of watching the girl getting her vengeance on Yu Feng, the burning rage within him remained.

"Juno." Tobias's voice was low and menacing.

The assistant replied quickly, "Yes, sir."

"Get me everything you can on Shen Jue. Report back to me this afternoon."

Juno nodded and hesitated to ask, "And Mr. Yu?"

Tobias's cold eyes shifted and landed on his assistant. His pair of eyes had an unspeakable chill in them that made even Juno, who was already used to it by now, stunned momentarily.

His boss was really angry this time.

"Order Lu Qing to find his whereabouts and who he's working for," Tobias said coldly.

Immediately afterward, Juno regained his composure and nodded his head. "Yes, sir. I'll refer the order to Lu Qing right away."

Tobias spoke in a low voice that was husky and restrained, "Mm, you're dismissed."

Juno silently bobbed his head before turning around to exit the office. From the thick killing intent that filled the air, he had a feeling his boss wanted to be alone to emit his emotions.

Better escape while he still could!

The moment the office door closed, Tobias was unable to remain calm and collected. He got up, and could not help pacing back and forth with a dull expression.

He finally went so far as tearing open his collar. Even though the collar of his shirt was ripped open, it did not bring the slightest degree of relief from the suffocating feeling in his chest.

He raked his fingers through his hair, disordered strands falling in front of his dark, burning eyes.

Though the girl wasn't injured to the point of leaving a scar, it didn't change the fact she was injured. He never imagined knowing and seeing would be so different.

Tobias leaned his hands onto the desk and inhaled sharply through his nostrils, pushing down the violently surging emotions within his heart.

His fists struck down against the desk leaving a deep dent.

"Damn it..." He whispered in a low voice.

A moment of silence descended. Tobias closed his eyes and sighed bitterly. He reached for the phone on his desk and dialed a number.

"Come here now."

Without waiting for the other on the end to respond, he hung up and drew in a breath of air. The black pupils filled with endless fury eased, returning to their neutral state.

Tobias walked around his desk and looked down at the paperwork, his lips pursed. After a while, he sat down and viewed the documents.

Other than smoking, working endlessly was another good distraction method.

Only fifteen minutes passed before a man with golden blond hair and shimmering blue eyes entered. His chest heaving up and down as he struggled to regain his breath.

"You bastard…this better…be important." Alec gasped heavily.

Tobias didn't strain his eyes off his paperwork. "What took you so long?"

Alec nearly coughed and spit blood. For heaven's sake, give him a break!

He complained, "I had to drive from my company, pass endless traffic just to rush here, nearly shitting myself! Be thankful I wasn't a half-hour late!"

Tobias paid no attention to the man's accusing glares and simply pointed toward a tablet on his desk. Alec noticed his gesture and furrowed his brows. He walked over about to grab the tablet but paused.

Alec pointed out, "Hey, what happened to your desk?"

Tobias's hand holding his pen strengthened before his movements resumed. "Large stacks of paperwork."

Alec was speechless.

Bullshit! No way could enormous amounts of paperwork cause such a massive dent! What's even more ridiculous is that there was no way Tobias would allow an amount to gather unless he was dead!

Deciding not to point at the man's blatant lie, Alec picked up the tablet and tilted his head.

"What's this?" He saw what looked like a video on the screen.

Tobias's coldly said, "Watch it."

Alec gulped nervously.

Ah, why did he sound so scary right now?

Still, he did as he was told and played the video. A few minutes later, Alec looked up, a line appearing between his brows.

"Ah, Tobias isn't this Yu Feng? Is this some hidden security footage or something? Who are those people with the masks?"

Met with his questions, Tobias's head raised. His black eyes were scorching enough to burn a person. Alec was somewhat startled by his appearance.

"That girl in the footage is Mimi."

At this moment, Alec's entire being turned cold. Absentmindedly, his eyes looked down at the footage before shifting back to Tobias.

The original brightness in the man's face disappeared. Alec's blue eyes displayed a rare expression of rage.

"What?"
