The enemy was fast, had an extremely high defense ability, and the effects of his magic spells were also widespread and extremely brutal. Without Mage and the Goddess, the Extraordinaire forces could not possibly defeat the enemy.
Apart from the angel Zach, virtually no one else could fight against Merlin face-to-face—and even for Zach, he had to focus on dodging Merlin’s attacks, or else he would be split into multiple corpses by Merlin’s Blood Knife.
That was why Zack was the most surprised amongst all of the Extraordinaires there. He certainly could not understand how the Goddess, who was at most an expert in surviving in the wild just over two months ago, could have turned into a master at battle in such a short period of time.
