Though Li Yi was not a close acquaintance of Bird in the Warehouse, Bird in the Warehouse was still a member of the Iron Alliance. Li Yi might not have cared about It’s Me’s scamming antics, but he would definitely not ignore the plight of It’s Me’s victims who were part of the Iron Alliance.

In other words, he would do whatever he could to help, but it still depended on whether he had the chance to do so.

The moment Li Yi saw It’s Me’s stall, he knew that the opportunity had come.

Using the swiftest speed possible, he successfully bought the product. The whole transaction only cost 300,000 Gold Coins!

A mere second later, another product was displayed on the stall. It was a White Quality skeletal warhorse mount, and its price was also tagged at 300,000 Gold Coins.

White Quality skeletal mounts could be purchased from any NPC, and they were extremely cheap, costing only 5 Gold Coins. Compared to Tyrone’s Deathcharger, the price difference was like heaven and earth.

When he realized that Tyrone’s Deathcharger had been bought and the skeletal warhorse still remained, It’s Me was instantly dumbstruck.

This was one of his scamming strategies, where he would first present the actual product first with an extremely low price and immediately retract the product. Then, he would bring out a trash item with the same erroneous pricing. By doing so, the players who were interested in buying — who usually only noticed the price — would immediately buy the item once they saw the dirt-cheap price. However, it was at that moment that the actual product would be taken down from the stall, and the trash item would be brought out instead.

Most of the time, nobody would even notice what the displayed item was, and would only pay attention to the price instead. This particular scheme of It’s Me was not sophisticated, but there was no lack of players who had fallen play to the scheme.

There was only a second to react between the actual product and the trash product being displayed, and Li Yi had been preparing for that very second. The reason he had successfully bought it was because he completely understood how It’s Me’s scheme worked, and he was already primed and ready.

Those who knew not of It’s Me’s ploy would usually flinch when they saw the wrong price tag, and even if they were not stunned and chose to buy the item, they would already be a step late, as the actual product had already been taken off the shelves.

Li Yi turned around to leave, and It’s Me cried out from the back.

“Halt! Halt!” It’s Me scrambled forward and caught up to Li Yi. “I put the wrong price tag, friend. Could you return the mount to me? I…I…”

“Return it to you? And why should I? It’s obvious that you were trying to deceive me just now.”

It’s Me’s face was beet-red from panic. “Huh? No, how is that plausible? After all, I…”

Li Yi stared at It’s Me, and reluctantly said, “Is the mount very important to you?”

It’s Me mentally celebrated and nodded vigorously. “Yeah, it sure is. If you take it away, I’m afraid that I’ll no longer be able to live. Truth be told…”

Li Yi understood It’s Me too well. The b*stard ‘cheated’ for a living, and he would ‘cheat’ whoever that had the best equipment. He had no ounce of morals, and while he spewed lies endlessly, he had never even spoken a shred of truth.

Li Yi would rather believe that ghosts exist, rather than It’s Me’s yapping mouth.

“Since I’ve already gotten the mount, there’s no way I’ll return it for free. How about this, if you give me 2,000,000 Gold Coins, I’ll sell it back to you.”

It’s Me’s eyes were wide open. “2,000,000? Brother, look at my equipment, do I look rich to you?”

Li Yi gasped, “You’re not rich? Then how did you get your hands on the mount?”

“My…My friend told me to sell it for him. Yep, my friend wanted me to help him sell it, and now that I lost the mount, I think I-I-I’ll die if my friend asks me about it.” It’s Me face was one of despair.

Li Yi inspected It’s Me and asked, “How much Gold Coins do you have on you?”

It’s Me hesitated before answering, “Not counting the 300,000 I got from the mount, I only have 20,000 left.”

“Give it to me then.”

Li Yi sent a trade request to It’s Me.

It’s me placed the 320,000 Gold Coins into the trade, but he did not click ‘trade’ even after some time had passed.

“Click it, man.”

“Brother, you haven’t even put the mount inside the trade yet. Why should I accept it?”

“Oho, I almost forgot.”

Li Yi placed Deathcharger onto the trade, and It’s Me clicked ‘accept’. It was now Li Yi’s turn. Once Li Yi clicked ‘accept’, the transaction would successfully be completed.

“This won’t do. I’ll return the 320,000 to you, this exchange isn’t profitable to me.”

Li Yi mumbled and canceled the trade.

It’s Me was in full panic now. “Big brother, you can’t do this to me. That mount is really important to me, please, I beg of you, please return it.”

Li Yi thrust his hand forward. “First, I need 5,000 Gold Coins as a sincerity fee.”

“Eh…”

“I’m leaving.”

Li Yi turned and left.

“Brother! Brother!” It’s Me charged forward. “Fine, I’ll give it to you! Here, 5,000 Gold Coins!”

“Ten thousand! It’s ten thousand now! You have no sincerity at all!” Li Yi’s footsteps did not stop.

Seeing that Li Yi was fast approaching the teleportation door, It’s Me grew even more desperate. “Fine! Fine! I’ll give it to you! I’ll give it to you!”

The 10,000 Gold Coins was successfully traded over, and with a white flash, Li Yi’s silhouette vanished.

It’s Me was rooted in shock for three whole seconds, before letting out an earth-splitting cry. “WHAT THE F*CK! DAMNED SCAMMER!”

Li Yi did not need the ten thousand gold coins. The only reason he requested for it was to prank It’s me, and cause him some grief, in which he had successfully achieved.

Li Yi took out Divine Looking Glass and keyed in the four words, Bird in the Warehouse. However, the search results shocked him.

[Player does not exist!]

[Player does not exist!]

‘What’s up with this?’

Li Yi checked his friend list and saw that Flower Underpants was still online. He remembered that Bird in the Warehouse was one of his subordinates, and as such, Li Yi inquired Flower Underpants about it.

“Oh, we’re talking about him eh. Ever since his Deathcharger was cheated from him, he deleted his account and is no longer playing the game.”

Flower Underpants’ words made Li Yi shake his head and sigh. Not everyone had superhuman perseverance like him. Most players were fragile and would often lose all hope after being scammed once.

He initially wanted to sell the Deathcharger back to Bird in the Warehouse for 300,000 Gold Coins, but now, it seemed like there was no longer the need for it…

Li Yi furrowed his brows as he looked at the Deathcharger in his inventory. He was not particularly interested in the mount, and even though it wholly belonged to him now, he was too lazy to use it.

The extra 10% Dark-resist was good and all, but while his Dark-resist had increased by 10%, his resistance to Light elements would decrease by 10%. To someone like Li Yi who demanded perfection, it was a major loss.

If Dark Paladins were to use this mount, they would not suffer a lowering of Light-resistance due to their ‘Dark Element Mastery’ skill. However, those who converted their class to Dark Paladins would receive their own Deathcharger from the system. Though it was quite rubbish in early levels, the Deathcharger would automatically level up along with the players and once it reached its peak performance, the additional attributes it gave far surpassed that of Tyrone’s Deathcharger.

Tyrone’s Deathcharger was just a placeholder, and for players like Li Yi who understood it, the mount was not worth more than 300,000 Gold Coins.

However, that was only his opinion. Should he auction off Tyrone’s Deathcharger at 2,000,000 Gold Coins, it was highly likely that it would be sold off within a day.

After pondering for some time, Li Yi finally found the most suitable candidate to receive the Deathcharger.

Brother Windcloud Nine’s wife, Sister Windcloud Nine!

Since she was a Curse Priest, her Dark attribute requirements were pretty high. As such, there was no one else who was more fit to receive the Deathcharger.

The 100 million Gold Coins that Brother Windcloud Nine had transferred over did not sit well with Li Yi, and by gifting the mount to his wife, it would serve to placate his emotions.

Li Yi took out the Divine Looking Glass to check on Sister Windcloud Nine’s status, only to receive the notification, [Player has not logged in.]

‘She’s not up yet?’

‘Fine, I’ll bring it up once I get the chance.’

Li Yi ‘Teleported’ over to Shattered Frost City, located Onyxia, and ordered her to follow him out of the city.

After recuperating for so long, Onyxia’s HP was almost fully recovered, and the Weakness Icon above her head was beginning to fade, signifying the gradual return of her strength.

Her Affinity towards him was now at ‘Adoration’, which was only a step away from ‘Worship’. However, the more her Affinity grew, the harder it was to increase it. As to when he would finally achieve ‘Worship’, Li Yi did not know.

However, as long as he kept up his efforts, it was only a matter of time before she reached ‘Worship’ status.

In the outskirts of Shattered Frost City, beside the moat, Onyxia was gazing at Li YI with reverence.

Out of the spur of the moment, Li Yi had decided to experience the feeling of riding a dragon today.

“Return to your original form,” ordered Li Yi.

Onyxia obediently laid on the ground, and like a little puppy, crawled towards Li Yi. She was still in human form and not a dragon.

Li Yi hurdled over her as if he was riding a horse and sat on top of her. Following that, Onyxia let loose an earth-splitting wail, and with a shudder, her body rapidly expanded into a hundred-meter long black dragon.

The giant black dragon flapped its wings, and under Li Yi’s commands, it flew towards the east.

Li Yi did not have a destination as he only wanted to experience flight. So, after some time had passed, he gave Onyxia the order to fly wherever she wanted.

She was flying freely, and Li Yi, who was on her back, was enjoying the beautiful scenery of Pantheon’s world.

Below him, many players were wielding their weapons and cutting down wave after wave of monsters. King of Pantheon was already nearing two years of operation, but new players still popped up constantly like bamboos after a rain. Every day, every hour, every minute, their numbers were still increasing.

Onyxia was very happy as well. She flew at high speeds and shot flames downward from time to time, causing the tragic death of the players who were leveling below her. However, she was pleased with her accomplishments and was wagging her head with joy.

That was, until Li Yi had given the order to stop her from committing any more atrocious acts.

Fortunately for him, Onyxia still did not wholly belong to Li Yi. Otherwise, the responsibilities of her widespread slaughter would be delegated to her master. With each dragonbreath she shot, dozens of players laid dead, which would easily cause Li Yi to become red-named.

Onyxia slowly lowered her speeds, and when Li Yi looked below, nostalgia surged from his heart.

The area below him was the entrance to the Newbie Village, the birthplace of all players.

“Let’s head down.”

“Roar—”

Onyxia slowly descended downwards, and once she landed, she returned back to a beautiful maiden after a ‘poof’, with Li Yi still on her back.

“My god! Brothers, come quickly, this lady’s a mount!”

“This game is f*cking amazing! I’ll keep on playing even though I was murdered.”

“What a good game, truly …”

Four players clothed in cotton clothes and wielding wooden swords saw the scene and were eyeing at Li Yi with envy.

At that instant, a black shadow appeared before the four newbies and circled them with an unworldly speed.

“Shank! Shank! Shank! Shank!”

With four stabs, the four cotton-wearing newbies died a tragic death.

“You mother*cking dumb*ss! Killing us once was good enough, why are you still pursuing us?” One of the newbies scolded.

“I’ll scr*w your mother!”

“Scr*w your mom!”

The four newbies were scolding non-stop.

The black shadow shook its head disappointedly and gave the four players a glorious introduction.

“Fengxi’s my name. Those who want revenge, you’re free to look for me anytime!”
