The Ancient King Series Dungeon in Normal Mode may be easy, but the difficulty would multiply in Heroic Mode. This was due to a crucial element and that was the strength of players’ equipment.
Fighting an Ancient King when fully equipped with Holy equipment could be a breeze while conversely, it may be a difficult feat.
There were five bosses in the Eternal Light dungeon. The first four bosses shared a similar design, they were all Light Cavaliers adorned in golden armor.
The four Light Cavaliers were armed with spears and proficient in blitz attacks. Extreme speed would not be the correct term to describe them as their speed was equivalent to lightning.
Li Yi cleared the path of monsterlings but spared the Light Cavaliers, kiting these four Light Cavaliers until the end to encounter the Light Emperor.
Killing the four Light Cavaliers before the Light Emperor would earn an achievement, Courtesy Call on His Imperial Majesty.
The Light Emperor had a similar appearance to a Light Cavalier, but its body was much larger. It also held a different weapon, a sparkling two-handed greatsword.
The Eternal Light’s scene was set in a golden palace. The Light Emperor stood within the palace, waiting for players to come forth.
Li Yi pulled four the Light Cavaliers, kiting them towards the Light Emperor before unleashing his Territory Barrier to its fullest, to kill them in one go.
With a golden Achievement Panel popping out, Courtesy Call on His Imperial Majesty had been achieved.
“I was born from the light. In my world, there’s only endless battle…”
Reciting the prologue, the Light Emperor’s body transformed into countless mini light balls, swooshing towards Li Yi…
This was a powerful move as even the slightest contact with these mini light balls would create a chain shock reaction that would end in death.

Li Yi teleported within his Territory Barrier, dodging the Arcane Missiles-like mini light balls with ease.
Szh szh szh…
The mini light balls continued to pursue Li Yi, prompting him to teleport repeatedly to evade. This phenomenon went on five times before the mini light balls halted their pursuit and reformed the Light Emperor.
The Light Emperor, whose body was flickering in golden light, started using Lighting Speed Blitz to strike at Li Yi with its two-handed greatsword.

With Li Yi as the locked-on target, it struck with Lightning Speed Blitz continuously.
A main tank, during this period, would need to activate their life-preserving skills to persevere through. A healer would need to dispel the Shocked status as getting hit twice by the Light Emperor’s Lightning Speed Blitz would trigger a shock that could kill a main tank, even with a million HP.
Li Yi was no main tank and his DEF was nothing out of the ordinary. The enhancement from his 812 Holy attribute points could only defend against a single one of the Light Emperor’s Lightning Speed Blitzes.
Out of the three continuous blitzes, he had to dodge two of them!
Li Yi teleported to dodge in advance, effortlessly evading the first two Lightning Speed Blitzes. He remained still for the last strike, taking it head-on.
His HP immediately dropped by half.
Tzh tzh. Li Yi’s body was flashing with lightning. The Shocked status had been applied to him. If he were to endure any more attacks, the Shocked status would activate, multiplying the damage taken by 5 – 10 times.
The Light Emperor’s body turned into countless mini light balls, but they did not go after Li Yi. Instead, they fluttered around, filling the entire palace.
If Li Yi did not take the Lightning Speed Blitz, these tiny light balls would continue to pursue him, and Light Emperor would use Lightning Speed Blitz again. This cycle would continue endlessly.
To prevent this mad cycle from happening, it was imperative to take a Lightning Speed Blitz. It was only when someone in the party has the Shocked status applied that the cycle would discontinue.
Li Yi raised his arm to fire an Overlord Arrow. A Flaming Phoenix soared and bombarded all targets up ahead.
The floating mini light balls, upon contact, started sizzling and producing electricity amongst themselves, encaging the palace in a net of electricity.
Li Yi remained still and was unscathed.
After the electrical cage, the mini light balls started to build up. It was then, that the HP bar above the Light Emperor’s head was displayed. It was 300 million!
Water Clone, God Mode, harnessed Powered-up Arrow.
Li Yi raced against time as he drew his Orange Quality Bow back to fire a Powered-up Arrow and Shooting Star Arrow Hail before the Light Emperor made its move.
The Light Emperor’s 300 million HP was knocked down to 160 million right away. A radiant shield surfaced over its body, gaining immunity towards Li Yi’s subsequent attack.
The 9-layer Light Radiant Shield had 2 million HP per layer. Before the Radiant Shield was penetrated, the Light Emperor could not be harmed.
Li Yi switched to Stinger Arrows and normal attacks, firing at Light Emperor while on the move.
As he was at Territory Rank 1, Li Yi could teleport 12 times within his Territory Barrier. He would not be able to avoid the Light Emperor’s lightning speed in with regular bodily movements, so he teleported to evade the attacks.
This was a dangerous phase. Any attack from the Light Emperor could trigger shock and with him already in Shocked status, any contact with the Light Emperor would bring him down.
Fortunately, Li Yi’s Territory was powerful enough and his 12 teleportations did not go to waste. Once he had reached the teleportation limit, the Light Emperor’s Radiant Shield layers had been stripped off.
The 12 consecutive teleportations had exhausted his Territory Power. With that, his Territory Barrier shattered and disappeared.
“Come out, girl!”
Chancing on a brief interval, Li Yi summoned Alleria.
He did not call upon Alleria sooner to prevent her from triggering the Shocked status and putting him in a compromising position. This was no longer a problem because Light Emperor had run towards the center of the palace. Raising its two-handed greatsword to harness its power, it was ready to initiate Wipeout Light.
The Light Emperor had a signature move called Light Energy Burst. It would first build up its power, prompting a 20-seconds channeling bar above its head that could not be disrupted. However, this channeling period would lengthen when the Light Emperor is attacked. Hence, players needed to give their all and open fire during this phase.
Once the power charging ends, the Light Emperor will unleash a full-screen killer move, Light Energy Burst, also known as Wipeout Light.
The light would last for 3 seconds and any contact with its radiance results in death.
“Shooting Star Arrow Hail!”
Li Yi hid behind Alleria, releasing a second round of Shooting Star Arrow Hail.
There was only one reason for summoning Alleria and that was to act as his human shield…
It could not be helped. The pets Li Yi owned were not that big. It would be risky to use them to block Wipeout Light. At first glimpse, the tall white elf Alleria was the best candidate.
“Human, beware. I sense danger.”
Adding a bunch of buffs on Li Yi, Alleria held her shield and fastened her gaze on the Light Emperor.
Li Yi who was attacking with full force paid no attention to her.
With his Territory Power exhausted, his ATK plummeted. The key to taking care of the Light Emperor now rest on his firepower.
The Light Emperor’s HP was swiftly dropping, and so was the countdown on the channeling bar. Right when the channeling period ended, Li Yi managed to empty its HP.
“Quiver under my brilliance, mortal!”
The Light Emperor may have died but its Light Energy Burst would still be unleashed.
A golden light interspersed with lightning exploded like a heatwave to its surroundings.
Poor human shield, Alleria was killed instantly but Li Yi behind her was without a scratch.
“This… This is impossible…” the Light Emperor collapsed onto the ground.
A shimmery yellow Achievement Panel popped out. Li Yi obtained the achievement, The Man Who Surpassed Lightning Speed, for clearing the dungeon.

With the screen flooding in red, Li Yi obtained another Hall of Fame achievement for taking down the Eternal Light’s first kill. He also obtained +2 Skill Points as a reward.
Aragon’s Emperor Sword flew over and hung above the Light Emperor’s corpse, rotating in slow motion.
This time, the Light Emperor’s corpse did not go through the same changes as the Frost Emperor. About 30 seconds later, the Emperor Sword flew back into his backpack.
Li Yi frowned after taking a look.
There was no Light Imprint on the blade. This meant that the Light Emperor had yet to pledge its allegiance…
It was not as easy as defeating it once. Whether an emperor in the dungeon would submit depended on luck.
If it did not submit, then the dungeon had to be tackled a second time. If it still did not submit, the dungeon would need to be tackled a third time…
Li Yi went up to loot the corpse. A Virtual Inventory Pane popped up, displaying a pile of fragments.
“Not even one Light Core, what a Trash Hand…”
Li Yi helplessly shook his head, refusing all fragments. He then left the dungeon and headed to the nearest temple.
Alleria was dead and in order to revive her, she needed to be taken to the temple to have the legendary Sister Angel resurrect her…
“The Holy Light will save you…”
Sister Angel graciously asked for 1,000 Gold Coins from Li Yi and revived Alleria.
Having died once, Alleria’s Affinity towards Li Yi fell 2,000 points. It was on the verge of dropping below Worship.
Alleria chided, “Human, I am displeased with your recklessness.”
“You’ll soon be pleased.”
With a gentle wave of Li Yi’s arm, Alleria returned to the summoning stone. Rubbing on his Reusable Teleportation Stone, he returned to the continent.
He had already cleared the two shortest dungeons of Ancient King Series Dungeon. The rest of the dungeons were considerably longer. Taking account of the time, even if he were to try his hand at one now, he would only be able to clear the Normal Mode.
He would not have enough time to handle a Heroic Mode, so he decided to pursue that the next day.
Li Yi returned to Celestial Capital and teleported to White Elves’ homeland, Silvermoon City.
He did nothing but took a stroll with Alleria around Silvermoon City, raising her Affinity to more than 3,000 points.
It had been several thousand years since Alleria’s return to her homeland, so her emotions were swelling as Li Yi led her around.
Suddenly, another first kill appeared, following in Li Yi’s footsteps to clear an Ancient King Series Dungeon’s Heroic Mode!
