The ominous noise became more and more rushed, and the two skull icons were now completely blackened. Furthermore, it also sputtered out fumes of black smoke occasionally. The scene was reminiscent of a steam train starting up.

The skulls had stopped, and they had each landed on a Purple Quality Staff, and a Purple Quality Dagger. Following that, the two pieces of Purple Quality Equipment dropped down from the sky, directly onto Li Yi’s hands.

The two skulls were not done just yet, as the moment Li Yi had received his item, they immediately reactivated, and revolved with blazing speed…
“Bang! Bang!”
Two gunshot-like sounds could be heard, and the skulls had landed on another two items. Upon the successful retrieval of the items, they continued to spin yet again…
“Bang! Bang!”
“Bang! Bang!”
What the system meant by Grand Slam was for all rewards to be reaped.1 Naturally, as there were only two skulls on the wheel, the skulls would compensate by automatically reactivating upon receiving the rewards. Furthermore, as the number of items on the wheel decreases, the skulls would be quicker to spit out the items.
Only after all thirty items on the wheels were in Li Yi’s pocket did the angry skull trains finally come to halt. They then separated and went back to their original positions.
Up on the Death God’s Wheel, every piece of equipment had been cleared out. All that was left were the two skulls.
Both Orange Quality Weapons were now in Li Yi’s hands!

Oberon’s Radiant Sword, a powerful One-handed sword that was usable by all classes. Although the weapon’s ATK was not all that great, it carried potent effects. Its special skill, Godless, was a Divine Spell, and it would send a single target to a 30-second long dazed state. During this period, no attacks would dispel the state, and in order to break it, players would need to rely on a Divine Spell of the same rank.
The special effect, Radiance, would reduce the damage taken by all allies within 300 yards by 20%. It was one of the best effects to be utilized in a group battle.
There was also the special skill, Oberon’s Howl, which reduced the stats of all enemies within 300 yards by 10%, and their abnormal status resistance by 20%. However, there was a chance where the skill would fail to be unleashed.
Although the sword was usable by all classes, the best candidate for it was undoubtedly the high-HP and high-DEF main tanks’ classes.
“Weak little creature, it seems that you have the qualities to reach godhood…”
The red-robed spirit mused as its body gradually faded away.
Since Li Yi had taken all the items, the reward stage was now 100% complete, and naturally, it was time for the red-robed spirit to take its leave.
“Wowow… Brother Lil Yi, I want that Orange Quality Quarterstaff. Gimme gimme gimme…” Jiaojiao clamored as she lay on the ground.
“I’mma smack you with the staff instead. This ain’t for you.”
After taking stock of his spoils, Li Yi returned them to his backpack.
Before being equipped, both Orange Quality Weapons would remain in a ‘Sealed State’. Once the equipment had been equipped however, they would automatically be soul-bound, and should that happen, the weapons would become one with the user. Nobody else could ever use them.
The so-called Legendary-level equipment was unique in the sense that upon being used, they would never drop, and they could never be traded.
As Jiaojiao and the others had no way of resurrecting, all they could do was to wait for Li Yi to clear the other floors and obtain the Resurrection Pearls to revive them.
“Hey, you there, the one with a big joystick! You sure you can handle this alone?” Sister Cat uttered.
“Bug off!”
Li YI loved to bicker with Qian’er and Jiaojiao, but not Sister Cat. Sister Cat was extremely vulgar, and Li Yi did not dare to face her in verbal combat.
Li Yi entered the teleportation door and proceeded into the next floor. It was then that the ladies who were lying on the ground began to talk among themselves.
“Sister Cat, what did you say was big again?” Jiaojiao inquired.
“Ahem!” Qian’er gave a dry cough.
“What a bunch of perverts…” Zhang Yan and Little Elf spoke in unison.

The eleventh floor of the tower was an underwater stage and the conditions to clear it were simple. All players needed to do was to navigate through the maze-like tunnel, defeat all the enemies blocking them, and reach the endpoint.
As the Tower of Remorse did not allow mounts to be used, players had to swim through the stage themselves.
“Beast Souls’ Possession— Ghost Crab!”

Li Yi transformed into Ghost Crab and rapidly scuttled his way through the stage.
Li Yi’s transformation into a Ghost Crab had greatly raised his underwater movement speed. Furthermore, it had also greatly reduced the risk of enemy encounters.
The underwater stage was not as insane as the gear stage. So long as the players trod carefully and were able to locate the correct paths, clearing the stage was only a matter of time.
Using only 5 minutes, Li Yi was able to clear the stage.

As Li Yi made his way onto the twelfth floor, an additional Resurrection Pearl appeared in his backpack.
For every floor that a player cleared, there was a minuscule chance of receiving a Resurrection Pearl.
On the twelfth floor, Li Yi encountered a forest stage. This maze was much harder than the underwater one, and it was considered as an A-rank difficulty stage in the Tower of Remorse. (The underwater stage was rank C, and the gear stage was rank A+)
After walking forward for almost a minute, Li Yi had heard the cries of a female before he had even encountered a single monster.
“Everyone, gather up! Don’t be greedy! Everyone, stop what you’re doing!”
“Hurry and split up! Run to each side! I don’t want to see anyone standing at the center!”
It’s not an NPC, but a player instead!”
Li Yi hastened his steps, and he quickly encountered a party attempting a boss kill.
The party was composed of ten members, and its commander was Bai Xiaoya. As for the other nine, they looked like total strangers to Li Yi, as he did not recognize a single one of them. At that moment, they were working together to slay a 5-meter tall green-skinned monster. Under Bai Xiaoya’s leadership, they avoided the monster’s attack one after another, and they cooperated extremely well. It was not long before the green-skin monster would be defeated.
“The Green-named Tower of Remorse monster, Bullus. Only those who had received a Hall of Fame Quest would stand a small chance of encountering it. Bullus would spawn on any floor of the Tower of Remorse, and upon dying, it would need at least 5 hours in order to respawn.”
