Based on the color of their wings, Winged Ones were categorized into three ranks. The lowest were the Gray Winged Ones. They were the weakest and possessed the lowest IQ. They were mainly responsible for manual labor, such as transporting goods and building nests.
The middle class were the White Winged Ones, who were also the most common. The White Winged Ones were the main force that attacked the players. When compared to the Gray Winged Ones, they were stronger, smarter, and possessed Divine Power. Moving in groups, they were the most powerful enemy that players would fight at the launch of the Wings of the Sky pre-expansion event.
The highest-ranked Winged Ones had golden wings. With the highest ATK and IQ as well as the ability to use Divine Spells, each of them was a boss-level character of the Winged Ones.
Under normal circumstances, the Golden Winged Ones would not leave Sky Island, instead, remaining in their nests at the center of the island.
Up on Sky Island there were a total of ten dungeons and in accordance with the difficulty level, the most challenging dungeons were closer to the island’s center. Should players wish to tackle the dungeons, they must first defeat the Golden Winged Ones outside the dungeon and occupy the Mother Tree stronghold.
The three quests Li Yi accepted were Mount Sky Island, Magical Winged One’s Egg and Winged One’s Excrement.
He completed the first quest the moment he reached Sky Island while Winged One’s excrement was an easy find. Simply picking a tree and digging around the roots would reveal a pile of shiny tiny white balls. These were the Winged Ones’ waste matter and just one ball was enough to turn in the quest.
Among the three quests, the hardest to complete would be Magical Winged One’s Egg. This was a daily quest that players were allowed to attempt once a day on Sky Island.
The Winged Ones built their nests on trees. If players sought EXP and did not want any other rewards, this quest was not hard. The nest of a regular Winged One could be found anywhere and a thorough search would easily reveal an egg.
Finding the eggs of Gray Winged Ones was child’s play. Their nests were built on the lowest tree branches. One could just climb up a tree and find the eggs to complete the quest.
The White Winged Ones’ nests were at the highest branches. They laid the most eggs but to players, it was not as easy to get their hands on them.
The reason was simple. The White Winged One’s eggs hatched incredibly quickly.
The Gray Winged Ones’ eggs required at least a month to hatch while the White Winged Ones’ eggs only needed a few hours. This accelerated speed was also the reason for the endless White Winged Ones Army.
If stealing a White Winged One’s egg was in mind, then one had to be wary of it hatching. In his past life, many players, while doing this quest, would pick up an egg and have White Winged One hatch from it.
Once a player’s whereabouts were exposed in Sky Island, what remained for them was an endless barrage of Winged Ones.
The third type of egg was the Golden Winged Ones’ egg that was only found on the Winged Ones’ Mother Tree. Since they were rare, the reward for handing them in was, naturally, the best.
Players would obtain three different rewards depending on the type of Magical Winged One’s Egg they turned in.
Completing the quest by handing in a Gray Winged Ones’ egg would only reward EXP.
Completing the quest by handing in a White Winged Ones’ egg would reward EXP and a 20% of gaining a beneficial buff.
Completing the quest by handing in a Golden Winged Ones’ egg would reward a generous amount of EXP and a 100% chance of gaining beneficial buff.
Even at the level cap, EXP was still important as it was necessary for learning skills and upgrading Territory.
However, the most attractive part of the three rewards was not the EXP but the beneficial buff. Turning in a White Winged One’s egg only offered a 20% chance in obtaining the buff but handing in a Golden Winged One’s egg guaranteed the buff. This was the big difference between the two.

With the rewarded buff, facing powerful monsters in the Open Colosseum would be a breeze.

After about seven stabs, the bark was now mostly shaved off. A gentle ray of light shone in, reflecting on Li Yi’s brightened eyes.
Outside the tree hole, was a Winged One’s nest on a thick branch. Li Yi could see a golden egg quietly lying in the nest.
Li Yi looked to his left and right to confirm no Winged Ones were watching before rushing out of the hole towards the nest to quickly grab the golden egg and place it into his backpack. He then swiftly ran back and dove into the tree hole.
The entire process took less than 5 seconds!
