“Oh no, you idiot. There’s no land in the Endless Sea. Retreat now, it’s a trap!” The Dwarf Vice-Captain screamed at the top of his lungs.
It was too late. The ship was heading straight towards land… And it was actually a giant whirlpool.

The ship got sucked in. Its speed began increasing and soon everything turned black. Li Yi had fainted.
Soon, lights filled Li Yi’s sight as he regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and he was laying on top of some wood. He looked around to see the sea stretching to the horizon.
The Endless Sea had no land. It was a boundless ocean!
“Come on out, Freya!”
Li Yi consumed a bottle of Advanced-Level Underwater Breathing Potion as he summoned the Mermaid Queen.
The plan was for him to dive to the bottom of the Endless Sea. To do that, Li Yi needed Freya’s help.
Li Yi rode Freya and dove deep into the sea.
The Endless Sea could not be described with just the word huge. Legend had that this sea was the place where the Ruler of Gods and the Evil God fought. This place was boundless because of the influence of Divine Power.
If players were to swim in one direction for a decade in this sea, they would still not be able to reach the edge of the sea. Hence the name, the Endless Sea.
It would be much harder to find an item in this bizarre sea than it was to find a needle in a haystack. Furthermore, the quest was limited to only ten days and it was obvious why this quest was an SSS rank.
“Search for any treasure!”
Li Yi ordered as he dove into the sea. He wanted Freya to search for any treasure nearby.
Freya swam away swiftly and cheerfully. She came back with a red water crystal in her mouth after ten minutes.
The color red symbolized strength. Hence, this water crystal was called Strength Stone. It could be applied to equipment and increased its stats by 10%.
The Strength Stone was an incredibly rare item and it generally could not be seen in the auction. It would only occasionally appear when players decided to dig for any treasure.
“Continue searching.”
Li Yi patted Freya’s head and ordered her again.
Although the underwater world was incredibly beautiful, Li Yi was not able to differentiate the directions. He had no clue which direction would lead him to where the fight between the Ruler of Gods and Evil God took place or where the Death God left his item.
He had no choice but to make use of Freya’s unique abilities and bet on luck.
The second time Freya went treasure hunting; she came back with a dagger. It was a level 200 Purple Quality item and its stats were pretty good.
“I need some weird treasures. I don’t need this.”
Li Yi threw the Purple Quality Dagger to the ground right in front of Freya.
Freya’s eyes turned red as she swam away.
Then, Li Yi bent down and picked up the dagger, putting it away into his backpack.
Freya’s Treasure Hunt ability had improved drastically ever since she had evolved into the Mermaid Queen. In the past, the items she would find were all random. Now, she was able to search for a specific item under her master’s command.
Since Li Yi had said that he did not want any equipment, Freya would never search for it again.
It took Freya a longer time to search for something this time. Half an hour had passed, and she had yet to return.
“Aersith, come on out!”
Li Yi was bored and free. Hence, he decided to summon his strongest mercenary, Aersith.
Aersith was able to recognize the place in an instant. “This is… the Endless Sea!”
Li Yi was curious. “How do you know?”
Aersith was the Second Demon God and had been living in Foreignland all the while. Li Yi was caught off guard that she knew that this was the Endless Sea.
Aersith squinted. “This is where the battle between the Ruler of Gods and Evil God occurred, I can feel the remnants of Divine Power here…”

It was not important how Aersith knew of this place. The key was that she could feel the remnants of Divine Power here.
Was that not the same as saying that he could find a clue to where the Death God’s item was?
Li Yi was incredibly impatient. “Which direction?”
Aersith pointed to the west. “There.”
Li Yi did not begin searching immediately. Instead, he stayed where he was for Freya. Although the Mermaid Queen was very smart, there was a chance that he would lose her if he ran too far away.
He waited for another half an hour before Freya swam back, exhausted. She had a black core in her mouth.

Li Yi reached out his hand to take it as he checked its attributes. The name God’s Broken Heart appeared.
It was the Divine Power Crystal left by a Dark God after he died.
“Good job. It’s a good find.”
Li Yi patted Freya’s head as he kept praising her. Freya was so touched that she sobbed as her Affinity towards him skyrocketed.
Li Yi knew just how much a God’s Heart was worth. When this item was used together with the Divine Tome, an Ascension Quest would be activated. Players would eventually become a god if they persisted with the quest.
“Go back and rest for now.”
Li Yi waved his hand as Freya was dispelled. Then, he summoned the Deep-red Seahorse.
“Your Eminence Aersith, hop on.”
Aersith shook her head. “There’s no need for that. I can swim just fine.”
As a Demon God, Aersith had to maintain the integrity of what a Demon God should have. She was not able to take a ride together with a mere mortal.
Aersith insisted and Li Yi could do nothing about it. However, he could not keep her away for now as he hoped that she would guide him there.
“Ladies first,” Li Yi proposed to Aersith.
Aersith started moving her limbs as she swam forward slowly.
She was able to breathe freely underwater, but her speed was a complete tragedy when it came to swimming. She was even slower than Li Yi. Any player would have the urge to pull their hair out from their heads if they were to watch her swimming slowly.
Li Yi followed for a brief moment before he lost his patience. An idea popped in his head as he took out an Engineered Cable and threw it at her.
Her speed had naturally increased after dragging her along.
“Fine…” Aersith nodded as she gave in.
The Deep-red Seahorse was like a harpoon as it swam to the east.
There were many monsters under the sea and Li Yi had been actively avoiding it along the journey. He would not engage in battle unless he was forced to.
“Your Eminence Aersith, is it still far away?”
“Soon. I can feel it. The Divine Power is getting stronger and stronger.”
Another half an hour passed, and Li Yi questioned again, “Your Eminence Aersith, is it still far away?”
“Probably… Soon…” Aersith’s confidence was fading away.
Li Yi pulled Aersith along as he traveled west. He had been swimming in the same direction for three hours and had yet to arrive at the source of Divine Power which Aersith mentioned.
Aersith shook her head helplessly. “This is rather strange. I’ve certainly felt that Divine Power was nearby and yet…”
Li Yi dismissed the Deep-red Seahorse and summoned Freya out once again. The Deep-red Seahorse was moving too slowly, and it would be much quicker to use Freya to hit the road.
He swam alone in the Endless Sea. The feeling was nothing out of ordinary. Everything was blank. The channel, mail, voice message, etc. Everything was ineffective and even his friend list was all grayed out…
No one was able to communicate outside of the Endless Sea.
