''Killing people is easy when one has a firearm. People tend to be rather honest when they have a gun pointed at their head. I general people with a gun pointed at them behave in one of three ways:

The Fighter, calm and collected tries to talk the situation down or take the gun when given the opportunity. A true soldier.

The Human tries to satisfy the gunner or fight back depending on the situation.

The Coward tries to negotiate his life or runs away. My father never fought in a way, but likes to say 'a cowards face is the back of his head when running from danger' and from my experience, truer words were never spoken.''

Pointing my gun at my ex-best friend, I am proud to say that he is a fighter. Calm and collected he remains silent after announcing pleading.

''So you and my sister?!'' I half asked, half proclaim to him when sitting down in one of two chairs in front of his desk and taking measuring second look at him. Looking at his muscular body, short brown hair', clean-shaven face and grey sharp suit, it is hard to imagine the psychotic teenager which was greedy, shallow and addicted to sex, drugs, and conspicuous consumption.

''Yea me and your sister. You know I asked her to marry me?'' Michael asks me, breaking the silence.

Shaking my head I answer him. ''Yes, I know Bets told me. Do you know in how much shit you will be with my father?''

''Didn't know that you were working for your father after leaving the army...'' Michael counters my question with one of his own, reminding me of the guy I knew in high school.

''Still the old psycho?'' I ask him, ready to kill him the moment he lies or says something wrong.

''Yes and no...'' Michael tells me before smilingly confessing. ''... If you mean my hobbies like murder, ****, torture, and cannibalism, I can only plead guilty...''

Taking out two glasses of whiskey, he smilingly offers me his glass after taking a small sip, showing me that he hasn't added some poison or narcotics to it.

''... If you mean my sanity like periodic attacks of psychosis in which I hallucinate I tell you to relax. I am not guilty of that anymore. I take medications, now.''

''And they work with alcohol?'' I ask him daunting his words, taking a tentative sip of whiskey.

''Not really, but today is a special occasion. Brother-in-law.'' Michael tells me, not the least bit bothered by my gun still aiming at his heart.

''Still the same old psycho...'' I say to him shaking my head before asking. ''... Burying your body's still in the swamps?''

His smile becoming creepily wide he nods saying: ''Si. Remember our sexy sports teacher, Miss Abernathy?''

''How could I ever! She had the greatest...'' I stop remembering a certain hooded woman's breasts. Compared to Miss Abernathy Sarah's breasts are a divine creation. ''...assets.''

''I know. Mat her couple of months ago. Wasn't that great of a lay. Now she rests in one of my, ahem... stashes in the swamp.''

''Buried deep enough this time? I remember artwork of yours being found after a hurricane.'' I mock him.

''You are a sick man Mr. King. To remind an artist of his failures.''

''Lets cut to the case. What will you do to my sister?''

''Not kill her, that I can a sure you...'' Michael tells me honestly refilling both glasses. ''... Most likely I get her pregnant one or two times, use her as an alibi. You know nothing your family would frown upon. Now tell me how much do Bets know about your family business? From what she told me, she seems to believe the facade your father build for the public.''

''That's about all we ever let her know about Edgar's business. She is, in fact, one of the most innocent people I know. So if you break her or harm her in any way because of your 'urges' psycho... I will be there.'' I warn him shooting my gun close to his head, grazing his scalpel for dramatic effect.

''Yea, yea, I know you skin me, feed my corps to the alligators and shredder my artworks.'' The psycho tells in his best impression of me while making a throwaway gesture.

''Great that we have come to an understanding. Now let's talk business.''

___________

At the same time as my negotiations with Michael take place, Sarah has her own business to take care of, meaning an initially awkward interview for the magazine View.

Initially, a bit passive and only asking her about her experience filming the Dawn movies, Phil Batney, the view reporter send to interview her asks her about Rober. ''So now we have talked about your movies, all box office hits, let's talk about your co-stars, specifically about your now apparently ex-boyfriend Robert Paiton. How did that happen?''

Keeping her cool, Sarah fluently answers the reporter's question, saying: ''Sometimes good things fall apart, so some better things can fall together. What is there more to say?''

Smiling like a fox Paiton asks: ''Oh, Robert Paiton had all kinds of things to say about it. And I quote him here: 'Sarah James is either a secret lesbian or having an affair for years. In all the four years we were together as a couple we never fucked ones.' End quote. Crude words from a man with a broken heart. Any statement Miss James?''

Unable to answer the question for a moment confronted with Roberts crude wording, she finally says: ''I wouldn't want to comment on my private life or now past relationships.''

After giving her answer Sarah has problems keeping her heartbeat in check, despite wanting to kill her mother for not restricting the interview topic.

''Than let me ask you this. Is there a secret lover? Or are you a secret lesbian?'' Batney reformulates his question wanting to provide an honest answer.

''Paul let me tell you this. I am guilty of neither of these.'' Sarah tells him, thinking: -Because I am both. I have a secret lover called Aubrey Anderson. I would love to see your face if you knew I was being dildo fucked by a pornstar...- Mocking the reporter mentally she is finally able to get herself in check again.

Like a dog seeing a bone right before his nose Batney can't let this point rest and asks: ''How than do you explain Mr. Paitons claim, that in all the four years of your relationship you two never got intimate?''

Sarah remembers a quote from her idol Marilyn Monroe says: ''That's easy to explain: No girl should ever forget, that she doesn't need anyone who doesn't need her. We wear together on press tours promoting the movies and the filming itself, where we needed each other, but we both never really needed one another beyond the movies...''

Nodding his head in understanding the reporter interrupts her says: ''Hard words.''

''...Truth is like that. It isn't always supposed to be easy. You've got to value yourself and know that you're worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can't really have a healthy relationship.''

''You mean your relationship with Robert Paiton was unhealthy?''

''I would not say unhealthy in the sense that Robert was a bad boyfriend, but the relationship itself never really went beyond friendship.''

''Okay. Then lets in end this interview with my final question...'' The reporter wants to ask but is interrupted by Sarah, who just wants to be run away from it all.

''You know, I am asked a lot of private questions. Just an example: 'What do you wear to bed? A pajama top? The bottoms of the pajamas? A nightgown?' So I always tell them, 'Chanel No.5', because it's the truth… And yet, I don't want to say 'nude'. But it's the truth!'' Sarah tells him with a smile, giving Chanel maybe its best advertising tagline ever.

Being entertainment by her Batney gives her easy questions at the end, asking: ''... Nice quote. What are your expectations now?''

Taken aback a bit Darah visibly pondering half a minute finally says: ''I expect people to not be perfect, because you can love them for who they are.''
