Fu Huai’an was standing behind her with one hand on the couch and the other on the edge of the table. He leaned in Lin Nuan’s direction as he glanced at her screen.
Lin Nuan looked back as her shoulder was contacting his chest, but all she could see was his defined side profile.
She felt uneasy as she was nearly in his embrace. Afraid Tuan Tuan would run into them leading to an awkward situation, she said straightforwardly, “I’ve run out of pads so now I’m filling my cart with them and other stuff for them to deliver it here.”
The intoxicating scent on Fu Huai’an flooded her nose, and she felt the temperature rise around her. Focusing on her screen, she continued to pick items to add into her cart. Yet the tension in the air made it hard for her breathe.
Fu Huai’an turned and noticed her flushed ears. He then nearly brushed his lips against her ears as he spoke in his deep voice with a gentle smile. “I let Aunt Li prepare the pads already in case you didn’t have enough for tonight. You needed the webbed type, right?”
Her ears were her most sensitive area, and she couldn’t help but bite her lips as her face grew burning red.
She knew what Fu Huai’an meant.
Fu Huai’an wanted her to stay.
“I didn’t even bring clothes to change into…”
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to stay, it was just the fact that Tuan Tuan was still there and she was on her period. It would be torture for them both if they were together at a time like that.
They had already been through the agony of desperately wanting each other but having to contain themselves.
Cuddling and contact was only temporary satisfaction for them, and it made them even more thirsty for the deed.
“Aunt Li already prepared everything.” Fu Huai’an lowered his voice. His mature and deep voice sounded even more enticing with the sound of the rain in the background. “It’s pouring outside now, and we’re going to watch your show later on and decide on the wedding date. How will you have time to go back?”
Tuan Tuan heard them speaking in the kitchen. He didn’t want to stay alone in the living room, so he ran into the kitchen and stood next to Lin Nuan. He looked up and asked, “What’s a wedding Mama?”
Lin Nuan wanted to get up, but she didn’t want Tuan Tuan to notice anything odd if her movements were too abrupt. She sat still nervously without moving.
Just as she was thinking how to answer Tuan Tuan, Fu Huai’an looked at the little baby and said, “After mom and dad get married, we can live together…”
Tuan Tuan was shocked for a moment. He then began to cry as he dashed to Lin Nuan and hugged her legs tight. He looked up at her with his wet eyes. “Tuan Tuan also wants to get married!”
He also wanted to be with his mama and papa.
Lin Nuan saw the sadness and fear in his wet eyes. She felt incredibly sorry for him.
She swept him up and embraced him.
He wrapped his chubby arms around Lin Nuan’s neck.
Fu Huai’an reached out to pat his head and explained patiently, “Once we get married, we can live together!”
Tuan Tuan straightened himself up incredulously. He looked towards Lin Nuan with his huge eyes.
Fu Huai’an said, “Go get the calendar. Dad and mom are going to pick a date to get married…”
