Jian looked at Natalie's pitiful face, he remember what she said when he asked her about her family, she's an orphan.
Jian felt pity for her.
She might have missed her parents so much. He thought.
He wanted to make her feel a little bit better, so he lifted his arm and slowly patted her back and said, "Ssshhh, don't worry sweetheart, I'm here. I'll take good care of you." He whispered.
He mean it, maybe because he felt pity for her?
What Jian said seems like effective because Natalie stopped mumbling and her expression slowly became peaceful.
Jian stayed in that possition, he embraced Natalie until he fell asleep.

"Mom, Gēgē [older brother] is not picking up his phone!" Carrie said to her Mom who is currently driving their car.
"Just stop calling him , we're on our way to his house anyway." Her Mom replied.
"It would be better, because I'm already annoyed being ignored by him!" Carrie said.
Her Mom keep on driving the car until they reached the West Land Subdivision.
Anna stopped the car in front of her son's house.
She saw his car parked in the garage.
Anna and Carrie got out from the car and opened the gate.
They have their own key, so they opened the front door and entered the house without disturbing anyone.
"Gēgē! [Older brother]" Carrie called her brother when she get inside the house but no one answered her.
"Jian!" Anna called his son but still, nobody answered.
" Mom, maybe he go out for a jog." Carrie said.
"Go, and check for him upstairs." Mrs. Hong said to Carrie.
"Alright!" Carrie replied lazily.
After a few minutes, she came back with Jian's phone in her hand.
"Mom, Gēgē is not in his room but he left his phone their." Carrie said while showing Jian's phone to her Mom.
"Oh! That Kid! He barely visited us and when we come to his place, we can't still find him!" Mrs. Hong complained.
Carrie shrugged her shoulders, she looked around the house but she notice the room's door on the other side of the house was slightly opened.
"Ah! Gēgē might have slept in another room!" Carrie mumbled.
She slowly walked towards the room and lightly pushed the door.
Carrie gasped and her eyes went wide open!
Is she seeing things?!
She rubbed her eyes and looked at the bed again!
It's still there!
Carrie called her Mom in a faint voice and gestured her to come.
"What is it?" Mrs. Hong asked with her knitted brows when she approached her daughter.
"Ssshhh!" Carrie put her finger on her Mom's lips. "Don't be noisy!" She whispered.
"And Mom, please don't be shock if I'll show you something!" She added.
Mrs. Hong nodded her head.
The two of them slowly entered the room.
Mrs. Hong's eyes went wide open!
She saw Jian with a woman in the bed!
The two of them are embracing each other!
The woman's right arm is around Jian's waist and her right leg in on top of Jian's hips, while Jian's left arm is around the woman's waist and his left leg is in between the woman's legs!
"Wh---hhmmm!!"
Carrie instantly covered her mother's mouth to shut her up!

Natalie is now half awake she feel so comfortable, she was cold but with the help of the hard but warm 'pillow' that she's embracing, she really slept well!
Natalie burried her face to the 'pillow'.
Hhhmmm, why does the 'pillow' smells familiar?
It smells so manly and... Why do I feel like something's heavy was placed in my body?
Natalie slowly opened her eyes and looked up.

Jian can smell the scent of the flowers that blooms in the garden...

Flowers?

Especially when she heard Jian called Anna a 'Mom'!
