Chapter 72

Vroom!

I quickly pulled Li Lijuan to my side as the motorcycle behind us abruptly stopped by our side.

    “Ah!” shouted Li Lijuan.

I first pushed Li Lijuan to the roadside, and took advantage of the opening to rush forward with the agility of a cheetah. Before the two motorcyclists even had time to take off their helmets, they had flown a few feet up into their air and tumbled onto the ground.

I swiftly let out a succession of kicks onto their shoulders, which released a crisp sound of bones fracturing paired with the screams of the two men.

    “Ah!”

The scene that just unfolded before their eyes caused the remaining four motorcyclists to be briefly frozen in a stupor, before waking up to reality.

    “Attack!”

Initially, they had assumed that since they were just dealing with four small brats, this job would be a piece of cake. Thus they hadn’t brought many of their members. The current situation was beyond their expectations, but it was too late to request backup, so they all rushed forwards towards us.

Just as the first motorcycle was about to arrive in front of us, a dark shadow suddenly leaped towards us from the street. It was Black Bean!

Black Bean had arrived ages ago, but it was unable to judge what exactly the circumstances were. However, he had now realized that the motorcyclists across from us were the enemy.

Although the motorcyclist was driving on the road, Black Bean was able to accurately land a bite onto his hand. Furthermore, although the motorcyclist had equipped himself with thick clothing and gloves, Black Bean was still able to inflict a painful injury onto him.

    “Ah!”

The motorcyclist loosened his grip, causing the motorcycle that was still in motion to drive out of control. Once the motorcycle turned, it proceeded to immediately crash into a nearby shop.

Once Black Bean had bit the motorcyclist and fell off, he first rolled onto the road, then safely got up without any signs of injury, and finally rushed towards us.

“Ma Jindong, protect the backpack! I’ll cover you!”

Huang Shulang picked up a bamboo pole from a roadside stall and had Ma Jindong stay behind him.

“Huang Shulang, be careful,” I shouted.

“Rest assured, Master. For no-name thugs like these, I can take care of them easily.” Huang Shulang said this brimming with confidence.

The bamboo pole in Huang Shulang’s hands was one to two meters long, something that the local street vendors used to prop up their tents to guard against rain.

Although we appeared to be only ten years olds, the bamboo poles in our hands held an undeniably intimidating aura, keeping the thugs at bay.

“Listen up! Quickly attack!”

Some of the younger members of the group hollered.

The remaining seven to eight thugs who were still able to fight promptly scoured the nearby shops for weapons.

As they did this, I went to a nearby fireworks stall to grab multiple large firecrackers which usually let out a large explosion while also taking a while to ignite. During New Years, people are often injured by the sparks let off by them.

Without waiting for the thugs to approach, I used Primordial Qi to wrap the firecracker with the 火 character. I then fired it at them and let it explode through the Primordial Qi.

    “Boom!”

The first firecracker exploded in the hand of one of the thugs.

    “Ah!”

The firecracker exploded right on top of the man’s finger, letting out a stream of blood. This caused the man to burst into tears and sweat because of the pain.

Tens of firecrackers shot out and relentlessly exploded onto the bodies of the thugs. In no time, the thugs had all collapsed onto the ground as a result.

In response to this, Huang Shulang had froze in place for a while before looking at me and saying, “Master, at least leave me one!”

While chuckling I said, “I forgot to restrain myself. Fighting with firecrackers was just too fun.”

The shopkeeper who had sold me the firecrackers looked dumbfounded. “Since when were the firecrackers I sold this powerful?”

Although the firecracker had some power, the real reason for its performance was because it was in my hands. In the hands of other people, the performance might not be as spectacular. However, I didn’t explain this to anyone else.

“Huang Shulang, didn’t you say you know how to ride a motorcycle?” I said looking at him.

“Excuse me?” Huang Shulang didn’t quite understand what I was implying.

“There are quite a few motorcycles here, how about we ride one home,” I said.

“What? Are we going to steal one?” Huang Shulang asked with surprise.

“Are you stupid? All the owners are here, so why don’t we just ask one of them?” I let out a hit onto Huang Shulang’s head.

Huang Shulang grabbed onto his head out of pain. “Master, will they really allow us to borrow one?”

“Won’t you know if you ask? If they refuse, how about we send them on a trip to the police station?” I then kicked one of the motorcyclists who was still laying on the ground.

The motorcyclist shivered as he opened up his helmet’s visor and weakly replied, “We agree.”

“You see, people truly are open minded.” I laughed, clapped my hands, and took the keys from the motorcyclist.

“Master, I actually don’t know how to drive a motorcycle.” Huang Shulang said with a lowered head, but he then quickly deflected the blame onto his cousin. “It’s all my cousin’s fault. He’s so stingy and never even allowed me to ride it.”

“Do you know how to start it?” I asked.

“I know. The clutch, the pedal, putting the key in…” Huang Shulang was once again putting on the airs of an expert, ruining my mood.

As soon as the motorcycle frame lowered, I yelled and rushed forward, my two hands grasping the handles. Immediately afterwards, the motorcycle dragged me forwards. Once this had happened I stabilized my seating and controlled the steering. Meanwhile the icy wind cut into my face like knives. Luckily this was something I had experienced before. During this, my ears were full of the sound of win while I could only faintly hear the shouts of Huang Shulang and Li Lijuan.

However, after driving for a while I got used to steering, and started to explore the other parts of the motorcycle.

At first, the motorcycle seemed like a feral beast, but it then slowly turned into an obedient pet. I first turned sharply and then started to quickly head back towards Huang Shulang and the others.

“Get on! Put on their helmets too,” I told Huang Shulang and the others.

Luckily we were all children, so even with the four of us on it, the motorcycle didn’t feel crowded.

After Huang Shulang and the others got on, I started up the motorcycle and quickly drove towards the village. Black Bean and his three wives also quickly caught up.

From the side mirrors, I could see the thugs still on the ground get up from the ground as soon as we left. In reality, I knew that they were just playing dead because after all, I just used firecrackers and not bombs. All they were meant to do was inflict some pain, not be fatal.

However, if they continue to oppose us, I can make them suffer a bit more. If the power of a single firecracker isn’t enough, a whole box should be.
