Our last stop for today is the Seven Seas Amusement Park. As the name says, it's an amusement park.
"Cass, we're going here?"
I smirked. "Scared?"
"Haha. No. No. Nooo. Okay let's go."
We made our way to the entrance and paid for unlimited rides because why not? This is the time to have fun. Money? We can earn it back.
We decided to try the mellow rides. So first, The Octopus. This was Minho's idea. Apparently, he wants to get accustomed to the height.
We are sitting facing each other. I can see his hands are slightly shaking. I've got a nagging feeling to touch them and hug him, but I restrained myself. Sit tight Cass, you just met. How could you be so initiating. I took a deep breath.
"So Minho. You're afraid of heights?"
"Everyone has an Achilles' heel Cass. And this is mine. Everytime we go to the Amusement Park when I was a kid, my knees would start to shake. I still haven't overcame it."
"Sorry. Should we go?"
"No no. You like it here, right? And I want to overcome this fear somehow. Even just a fraction. So we should try this."
"Okay. If you feel afraid, I'll let you hold my hand. So that you'll feel someone's there for you."
"Thanks Cass."
"Look outside. Isn't it wonderful? You could feel the wind and see the world down below. I feel like I'm the overlord of all Earth." I said that while laughing.
"So that's how I should feel? Hmm I'll try that."
The ride finished. And we're on to the next, The Lighthouse.
We found two seats available, and the park staff strapped us in.
"Cass, am I gonna die?"
I laughed. "Come on, you can do this. Take my hand and we'll conquer your fear!"
His hands were a little sweaty and shaking, a clear sign of him being so nervous. I held his hand tighter, showing support. He looked at me and smiled gratefully.
We started to ascend. I felt Minho's hand gripping mine so hard. I smiled, somehow amazed that strong guys like him have something they fear.
I watched the scene before me. The sky on an orange hue, hinting the sign of twilight. Skyscrapers adorning below, and small twinkling lights moving around. This is so relaxing.
And then, we dropped.
I heard the shouts of others, including Minho's.
But I was laughing, laughing from the fun of it all.
"Minho! Let it all out. Shout!" Minho probably didn't hear me because he continued shouting.
I joined them all, "Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh! I will be free! FREE! YOU WILL SEE!"
After the ride, Minho and I sat on a nearby bench.
"Minho, you okay? Oh what am I asking, you are definitely not okay. Tell me, what do you like to do?"
"Could you give me some water?"
"Uh no, later. You might vomit everything out. Just take a deep breath and relax your muscles."
"Cassidy, how could I relax! That was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. I felt I was gonna die."
Eh, I shouldn't have insisted on going here. "Do you like to go home?"
"No! I am a man. I must defeat this enemy! If not, I'd rather be gay! Let's go! I will defeat all my evil foes!"
Hahaha this guy. "Well if you insist."
We went to the Sea Serpent and then the Pirate Ship. Minho was being brave. At the last minute in the Pirate Ship, he raised his arms and shouted, "Whoooooo! I am not afraid. Come at me!"
I guess that was the biggest sign he's getting stronger against his fears. I'm so happy for this boy!
As we made our way to the last ride, Minho hugged me.
"Cass, thank you. You were the first to push me to my limits." He broke away and looked me straight in the eye. "Everytime we go here, they would let me sit and wait for them, saying that I might collapse from fright if I try any of these rides. But you, you pushed me but you were there to support me. I know this would sound silly to you, but it's a huge step for me. I experienced being bullied before due to this, but now I'm saying goodbye to these fears and conquering them all!"
I was speechless. Instead, I smiled and hugged him back.
"Hey Cass, you okay?"
"You! You just said something so touching but you're welcome. I didn't know that what I did had that effect to you. And I'm glad to help you." I looked back at him and kissed him on the cheek.
"That was just a friendly kiss!"
"Haha. Whatever you say Cass."

Our last ride for today, since it's almost evening, is the Journey to Atlantis. This maybe is the calm after the storm (is there such a thing?
