After Ethan's call, I haven't gotten back to sleep. Because who can sleep after that? What the hell. Really. What happened to my promise? I.Had. Phone. Sex. With.Ethan!! I hate myself.
I sighed. Oh well, better get ready for the hike since I woke up now. It's 2 more hours before Minho arrives.
I remember, the days before today were torture. I was so excited of the hike that I packed my things for so many times. I always unpack when I want to check if I brought this or that. Well, Minho told me that the hike would take at least a day and the trail is quite easy, but as a precaution.
The day before our hike, Minho talked me out to chill it, because he fears I might die of anxiety from waiting. A bit exaggerated but I believed him nonetheless. So I slept early. He said he's going to come here early in the morning.
Well, that excitement was a bit extinguished because of Ethan, and myself. I hope I won't look like a zombie later.

After cooking for breakfast, a knock came at the door.
I ran so fast and opened the door. Minho was standing there, and I hugged him there and then.
"Woah~"
I looked at him, his face showing bewilderment. I laughed. "Sorry, too excited."
"I know. And you haven't even slept. You have large bags under your eyes."
Uh-oh. "Well, I can't help it. It has been a long time since I hiked. Oh but come in first. I prepared breakfast."
After that quick breakfast, we were off.
I was looking for a good music to play for our road trip and Minho was, of course, driving.
"Hey, Minho. How far is that mountain?"
"Hmmm, 2 hours from here if there's no traffic. And then an 8-hour hike to the house."
"8 hours?! How far is that? How tall is that mountain?" Who likes to have a rest house that far? 8 hours?!
"Hahaha, you'll see later Cass. You'll see."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever Minho."
Some time passed and I was getting rather bored, and I was a bit sleepy. I can't see so much of the view outside because of the fog.
"Minho?"

"If I sleep, would it be okay for you?"
"You're sleepy? Go sleep. I'm used to this road anyway so there shouldn't be a problem."
"I'm sorry for being a bad joyride buddy."
He laughed. "Silly. It's okay. You lack sleep too so go ahead. I'll wake you up when we arrive."

"Cassidy, why aren't you here in your apartment?"
I sat up straight. Ethan? "What are you doing there?"
"I am staying here with you. So where are you?"
Staying with me? "But I thought you're staying at-"
"Really Cass? Me, staying with them?"
"Oh yeah. Well, I'm going on a hike today and staying in a house somewhere at the top. I think I'll be able to go back after a week."
"Sht."
"What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing. I'm going now. Bye." *toot toot*
Well, that was a bit moody for Ethan.
"Who was that?"
"Oh, a college friend. He recently came back from Japan and wished for some get-together. But I didn't know he was arriving today." A lie. Why am I so good at lying?
Minho remained quiet. Does he think otherwise?
"Uh Minho are we still far?"
"Hm, sort of. You can go back to sleep if you want."
"No need. I can see clearly the view outside now."
The whole ride was filled with my oohs and aahs. I documented the whole journey, took a video and a lot of photos.
"You know Minho, this is one of the reasons why I love traveling. I love watching the trees, the mountains with all its magnificence. I love how everything is beautifully done. I so so love it. It's a feast for my eyes."
Minho chuckled. "Then, we need to travel more."
"Yes indeed. We need to. Omg. I can't wait."
Just then, Minho made a right turn and there I saw the name, Jade Resort. Wow, I thought we're staying at the top?
As soon as he parked, I immediately went out of the car and roamed my eyes around the place. Eh, something's wrong. Why is it so quiet in here?
"Uh, Minho why are we here?"
"Of course we need a place to park the car. This is the nearest place."
"But why are there no other people?"
"Because I own this."
"Damn fcking rich." I said under my breath.
"What was that again Cassidy?" He closed in on me, and whispered behind my ear, "I think we have to discipline that mouth of yours."

He leaned back and grinned mischievously, "You'll see."

"So, I haven't officially introduced you to this place. Cassidy, welcome to Jade Mountain!"
