Ijey was quite stunned by what she was seeing. Ayanna? Why was she like that? Yeah, Ayanna has always been beautiful. Oh! so eye catching but never considered slim let alone this perfect figure she was seeing right now. What happened?
Seeing Ayanna, her best friend from high school days across the street from where she sat with her colleague for lunch, Ijey hurried over to cross and catch up with her. It's been a long time they saw each other in their city B where they grew up. Now lucky to meet her friend again.
Thank God she is still alive and well. What's with all that rumor of her death 5 years ago after the freak accident she was involved in and being unconscious for months in the hospital? Ijey cared about her friend. Her step mum didn't really care what happened to Ayanna, so it was Ijey that stayed in the hospital with her, going on her own errands and coming back to check on her.
They had great dreams together since graduation; getting great jobs and meeting the man of their dreams. All that stopped as she waited on Ayanna to wake up.
Then one fateful day, some strange people visited them in the hospital ward. The guy in the among them looked like an African Prince and they had come for Ayanna claiming she needed to go back to her home country. Even in her state then, Ayanna had already been 10months in coma.
Ijey knew that Ayannas mum was Chinese and her father was from a country called Nigeria but they had not seen him in years. Since the family of the guy didn't want him to marry an outsider except she was ready to stay in the country and accept their ways, she would have but her family had to return to China as the project that brought them to this country was over, therefore not caring that their daughter was in love they left with her.
