But before the battle even began, a voice resounded from the stairs leading up to the second floor,

For some unknown reason, she is now wearing a kimono. Her long back hair tied back into a long ponytail streaked down the back of her bright sakura coloured kimono. Although she is still young, the kimono gave off her womanly charms and made her more mature. In normal circumstances, I would have been rapidly taking pictures of her by now, however, there is a katana hanging at her waist. Her face, which is usually smiling, is now clouded over with an expression that seems like anger.
"Nii-sama, to think that you're shameless enough to come here with your girlfriend... I do not know what to say..."
"Mio..."
"Have you come alone, I might have gone back with you, but since you decided that you'll stay by her side no matter what happens, I can no longer go back with you."
"Mio! It doesn't have to be this way! I'm not taking your brother away or anything! I just... I just want to stay by his side!", Hanako cried out.
"Oh, so you still dare to speak like that huh, old hag? Even though you were the one who took him away from me. Shameless."

After saying those words, she came charging at me at high speed, her right hand holding the grip of the katana, ready to draw it out at any moment.

As soon as she came running towards me, I also charged in towards her, closing in on her quarters.
"You are simply foolish, Nii-sama. Seeking death on your own volition.", she spoke as if the outcome had already been decided.
"Don't worry, Nii-sama. After you have died, I shall follow you as well, and we shall reunite in the underworld."
After finishing those words, she immediately began to draw her sword out, attempting to slash me at high speed. However...
"Sorry, Mio! No one's going to die on my watch!"
Before she managed to draw her sword out, I stopped in my tracks and used a chop-kick to attack her right hand, which is now gripping the sword. As the kick connected with her hand, she dropped the sword and took a decisive lunge at me.
"This is the end, Nii-sama...", a knife suddenly materialized in her left hand.
"No! Yuuji!!!", Hanako cried out in agony.
Because I lost my balance from the kick earlier, I could not evade in time. Just as I was bracing for the feeling of the knife to stab into my body...

"Heh?", Hanako and I stupidly let out a weird voice, while Mio, who no longer has that scary expression, was smiling mischievously and said,
