Finally... Here comes the dilemma:
How are we going to sleep?
Now, understand me, I only see Charlotte as my little sister, and she also only sees me as her brother. Therefore, if possible, I would like to maintain a certain distance to prevent 'ero' things from happening.
"Uh... So... Should I sleep on the floor?"
Since it's the most basic option, I proposed it to Charlotte, who is now sitting on the bed.
"But won't you be cold, Onii-chan?"
She asked me out of concern. Although she could be a little mischievous sometimes, she is actually a very gentle and caring girl.
"Don't worry, Charlotte. I'll just get some blankets from the front desk."
After saying those sentences, I immediately picked up the phone and dialled the front desk, requesting two sheets of blankets: one to sleep on, and one to cover my body with.
Not long after, the maid came knocking at the door and delivered the two blankets to me. Since this is quite a decent hotel, the blankets they gave weren't thin either. Each of them is large enough to cover the body of an adult, and they are definitely thick enough to ward off the coldness of the night.
"See, no problem at all!"
"Mu~~~"
Although the problem at hand was already resolved, it seems that Charlotte is not very happy about it.
"B-But... Y-You won't be very comfortable right-"
I interrupted her by placing my hand on her head.
"Don't worry, Charlotte. I'm your brother after all. This much is nothing to me."
I smiled at her and stroked her head gently like always. Whenever I do this, she always seems to act like a cat and let me pat her head willingly. Even when I parted my hand from her head, she seems to be craving for more. She's literally just so cute!!!!
"Un!"
Since the sun is starting to set now, we laid down our belongings that we brought with us from Japan on the table beside Charlotte's bed and started to prepare for the night.
"Go take a bath, Charlotte. I'll go in after you finished."
"Then I'll go in first, Onii-chan!"
I watched her figure vanished into the bathroom. Just before I turned on the television, Charlotte's head popped out from the bathroom and said to me,
"And no peeking, okay?"
"Just get in there, Charlotte! Just who do you think I am?"
"A pervert brother."
"I'm not!!! Don't believe those two's words, okay?!?!"
Apparently satisfied with my reaction, she went back into the bathroom and closed the door.

After switching through the channels, I ended up watching a travel channel where they travel to different parts of Thailand and discover 'unseen' places.
Just as I was about to change the channel for the nth time, Charlotte's voice called out to me.
"O-Onii-chan..."
"What is it, Charlotte?"
I turned my head towards the source of the voice, which is in the direction of the bathroom.
Seeing that she still has not come out of the bathroom yet, I wondered what she needed from me.
"W-Would you mind handing the towel to me please?"
Ah... right... I forgot to mention, the towel was placed at the foot of the bed, and Charlotte probably forgot to bring it in with her.
"Alright, alright. I'm coming, okay?"
Saying that as I grabbed the towel, I walked towards the bathroom slowly.
"D-Don't look, okay?!?!"
"Of course, I won't!"
I turned my back and leaned on the door. Then I handed the towel through the gab of the door which she opened.
Probably because of the embarrassment she felt, she tugged hard at the towel I was holding, causing me, whose body was leaning on the door, to fall into the bathroom.
"O-Ouch!!!"
"O-Onii-chan?!?!"
I raised my head and rubbed my temple to calm down the throbbing in my head.
"I'm alright, Charlotte... Just let me get up-"
When I was finally able to adjust my eyes, I saw Charlotte stark naked body for a moment and-
"O-Onii-chan, pervert!!!"
I got hit in the face by Charlotte.
I probably deserved it, though...

Although she was a little grumpy in the next hour, she eventually forgave me and invited me to watch television with her.
We watched television late into the night, and finally decided to sleep at 10 pm. We then turned off all the lights in the room and prepared for bed. We left the curtain opened though, so we wouldn't wake up too late in the morning. Thus, the only lights that were illuminating the room came from outside. Although they weren't very bright, it was enough for us to see each other in the darkness.
As I climbed back into my 'bed', Charlotte called out to me.
"Onii-chan..."
"Hm? What is it, Charlotte?"
"D-Do you think we'll be able to find father in this strange land?"
I held her hand and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, Charlotte. We will definitely find him. No matter how long it will take, I will help you to find him. So don't worry, alright?"
"Un!"
Just as I was about to let go of her hand and go to sleep, Charlotte clutched onto my hand tightly.
"Charlotte?"
"Onii-chan... Can we sleep like this... just for tonight?"
Looking as if she will cry if I refuse her, I also clutched her hand tightly and told her,
"Sure. No matter how many nights you want to sleep like this, I will do it for you."
"Thank you, Onii-chan!"
With that, she finally closed her eyes and slowly went to sleep.
