After calming herself, Ziwei fell back into thoughts, trying to remember the scenes of the last night.
"What exactly I said, for him to be this mad? All I said was that I truly loved none. Did he thought that I was joking and fooling him".
She laid her body back onto the bed with thoughts again reminiscing the last night but she couldn't remember a single thing that's out of order. She could remember nothing, after her words of saying him that she loved none. She thought to herself that she must be really tired of the intimacy that she forgot what happened the last night. She kept thinking of the last night, but couldn't remember even a single scene of them that could turn him mad. After a while, she remembered him from the last night leaving the bedroom in rage. Then the image of him sleeping on the sofa and bottles and butts on the table next to him popped in her mind.
"What exactly I said that made him to drink and smoke that hard?" out of confusion she raised her hands and held her hair messing it.
Without noticing him entering the room, she kept talking to herself "What exactly happened? What nonsense I blabbed for him to be this mad?"
After entering the room, he placed a bowl of congee on the bedside table. The sharp sound that bowl made on the table, brought her back to senses.
Without much thought, she roughly brushed her hair with her fingers and covered her face with the bed covers acting as if nothing really happened. Though Yifeng noticed her messy act, he said nothing and left the room.
Thinking of the last night, he sat on the sofa for a while before walking into the kitchen to bring a wiping cloth. He decided to clean up the mess around him to divert his mind. He cleaned the table, picked the bottles and butts throwing them into trash bag. Then he walked to the patch of red, wiped it and cleaned the floor. While walking to put the trash out, he heard the bell ring, when he was almost at the door.
He opened the door thinking it would be his assistant.
But the figure of the person on the other side, left him dumbstruck. He instantly tightened his grip on the trash bag which created loud crepitating sounds that could irritate anyone.
"Brother..." loud call from his younger brother brought him back to his senses. He opened the door wider indicating the person to get in. He then walked out to put the trash.
By the time he walked back into the living room, he found none around. Without thinking much, he started to run upstairs, but stopped on the tracks hearing the ringing bell.
He slowly turned back and walked upto the door, and on seeing his assistant on the other side, he brought a cold look onto his face replacing the worry his face wore till then. He walked out to reach the files in his assistant's hands.
"What's wrong boss? Why are you sweating?" his assistant asked him in confusion, deep inside fears clouding his heart.
Yifeng said nothing but ended up frowning his brows. After a moment, "Bring me complete details of Ziwei, every single detail" a cold tone enough to slit the air apart. He wanted to know atleast her history before knowing about her affairs.
"Boss...?" his assistant muttered in a confused state.
Yifeng least interested in prolonging the conversation, turned back, walked in and shut the door right on his assistant's face.
He threw the files onto the table in the living room and then ran upstairs. On entering into the bedroom, the scene he came across left his body stiffened and fingers balled up into fists, his eyes turning red and brows furrowed. The worst ever thing he could imagine happened right infront of him.
He saw his wife resting her head on his brother's shoulder and crying with her hands wrapped around his neck, and his brother carressing her. His rage exploded, he grabbed Ziwei's hair and pushed her back onto the bed pulling her out of Gengxin's embrace.
"What's wrong with you?" Gengxin grabbed his brother's hand which was about to slap his face.
