Both their voices in unison made them to gaze at each other in confusion. Him talking to her with ease was more than what she imagined, but him making out same words as her totally rushed her mind to think enormously.
"She hates her" his mind went blank on interpreting her words. His heart jumped out in excitement and he enjoyed a huge amount of satisfaction.
Yifeng snapped back to senses and picked the remote to change the channel. He heard the same female lead's voice on the other channel which made him to get irritated and to turn off the TV.
Ziwei kept gazing at Yifeng all the time as he got irritated by the same female lead just like herself. Only then she came to know that he also hates the person who turned her life upside down.
Ziwei, she herself who dislikes to gossip couldn't let her curiosity to subscide and thought for a while before asking him "Is that really true that you dated her?"
Yifeng who was already disturbed, glared at Ziwei throwing the file in his hand onto the ground which made her to tremble in fear. He didn't want to show his temper over a witch on Ziwei. "No..they were just baseless scandals" he said calming his raged mind.
Just then the bell rang. He figured out the person outside and immediately placed the dropped file on the table and reached to get the delivered food.
He directly walked towards the dining hall with the food to set the table. After a minute, he got back into the living room to lift her up with his arms. Ziwei already guessed his actions in prior and raised her hands instantly on seeing Yifeng to wrap them around him.
Though he noticed her actions, to her surprise he didn't say much. But inside he smiled childishly.
He placed her on a chair at the dining table and pushed a bowl of congee towards her.
She sighed in disappointment on seeing the bowl of congee before her. She scolded him in her heart for making her to eat congee again when she already left a whole bowl untouched back in the bedroom.
Seeing her expression, Yifeng smiled sitting on the chair infront of her and picked the bowl from her side. He wondered just why he avoided this funny girl all these days.
"Just eat it, anyway from tomorrow you'll be eating hospital food, you'll get habituated" he toyed with her while blowing on a spoonful of congee.
What she least expected happened right infront of her eyes. He leaned forward and placed the spoonful of congee at her lips.
She stared at him in daze and soon tears flooded down her eyes.
"Alright....Alright.....don't cry" he laughed as he dropped the spoonful congee back into the bowl. He replaced the congee bowl with his bowl of fried rice. But deep inside he continued laughing on looking at her face which he found damn funny.
He took a spoonful to feed her when the flow of her tears increased at once as she kept staring at him and the spoon under her eyes.
"What..happened...?" he asked her in anxiety and dropped the spoon back handing her some tissues.He worried that she's crying out of pain.
After a minute of crying, she wiped her tears and sneezed. She then said with small hiccups in middle "Its my first time to get fed by someone like this" before covering her face in embarrassment.
"Uffu...." he sighed in relief with a tiny laugh. "Eat by yourself" he pushed the bowl towards her and poured her a glass of water to drink.
He then picked the congee bowl and ate a spoonful.
On noticing no change in her, he turned to see her who was still staring at him with a complex of expressions on her face.
"Alright...Don't start the tap again..I'll feed you" he teased her and picked a spoonful from her bowl. Her clumsiness and childish behaviour attracted him to such extent that he himself enjoyed feeding her.
She first lagged behind but later ate well like a hungry puppy as he continued to feed her. He ate his congee in the time gap when she chewed onto her fried rice.
He never once cared or talked to her but once he found such a cutie in her, he felt sorry for troubling her all the time and at the same time he enjoyed toying her which he wished to continue further.
He wondered how a cute and innocent woman like her managed to get seven men to run around her. He said to himself to stay away from her as he might also end up following this cutie like the other seven.
Later he mocked himself for being single all his life and envied her. Just then a picture of him drinking and smoking the last night popped in his mind. He wondered why he hated the fact of her having affairs so much when he had nothing to do with her. He just found her intersting at times which totally doesn't mean he had feelings for her.
He shook his head coming out of thoughts. Trying to change her mood and to distract his thoughts he asked her "Why do you hate her?" reminding her the female actress from before with a smirk on his face which Ziwei didn't notice.
He felt happy to have a person next to him who hated the same person like him. But her answer made him to drop his jaw instead of being satisfied.
She chewed well onto her fried rice to clear her mouth and thought for an answer in the meanwhile.
"I always thought you really loved her and worried that one day she would take my husband away from me. So I hated her".
With her words reaching his ears, his throat got obstructed and he coughed out the little portion of congee left in his mouth on listening her unpredicted answer. Thats what Ziwei wished to happen when she said those words so that she would get a chance to play with him.
"Aiyaa.....what kind of man you are? Can't you eat properly even after coming to this age?" she teased and laughed on seeing Yifeng spitting out the rice grains. He balled up his fists and gave a exasperated sigh. He felt more like getting slapped for toying with her all this while.
He never expected that innocent lady beside him to be this cunning. He cursed her inside his mind but also felt an unknown joy spreading somewhere in a corner of his heart. Her teasing words stunned him and also left a special imprint of her in his mind. He thought that eating food with her as very dangerous task. Its their first time having lunch together, but they ended up toying each other.
That woman, whom he found cute and innocent, he unknowingly witnessed a different personality of hers. He cursed her and thought no matter how lenient he turned, but how come she act upto her wish before her master.
Ziwei after laughing heartfully picked some tissues to clean the table first instead of helping him.
"See, even now you are making me to clean up things when I'm feeling sick" she said and rolled her eyes to gaze at his face like a sly fox.
"You....You dare to...You dare to toy with me" he gritted his teeth slowly leaning over her and raised his hands to strangle her. On seeing his angered face and sensing his intentions, she felt an immense urge to escape from that spot. She bent back pressing her back onto the chair as he leaned over her and on seeing his both hands coming towards her she cried as if her death was approaching her. She finally decided to surrender and closed her eyes while begging him to show some mercy on her.
Just when his fingers are about to touch her neck, he felt a sharp hit on his head which made him to shout in pain " Aaahww....".
On hearing his short scream, Ziwei opened her eyes in startle to see the familiar person standing behind him. Meanwhile Yifeng's body reacted immediately and he turned his head to see the person to hurt him.
"M..Mo..Mom..." Yifeng stuttered with a look of surprise and fear in heart. Both Yifeng and Ziwei stood up on seeing Rushi, Yifeng's doting mother.
"Dear...Is this guy creating troubles again?" Rushi lifted her purse to hit Yifeng still gazing at him.
"Hmph...Its a complete waste to hit a brat like you.It just hurts my baby" she immediately lowered her hand and caressed her beautiful purse.
"Mother...." Ziwei walked away from her chair to reach the person considered as her mother in law for the time being.
"Ziwei...what happened to your head?" Rushi noticed the bandage around Ziwei's head and walked towards her worrying about her adorable daughter in law.
Ziwei bit her tongue as she got caught and cried inside her heart "My real death is coming now" while staring at the old lady.
Rushi always wanted to have a daughter, one just like Ziwei. And her wish got fulfilled only when her son introduced Ziwei as his girlfriend. From the moment when all her friend's kids started to get married, Rushi haunted her elder son by setting up dates for him with girls of top households in the city.
After she came to know about Ziwei's existence, she never laid her eyes on others as she totally loved this beautiful lady. She loved Ziwei to such extent that she did all kinds of stuff with her which she originally dreamed to do with her daughter.
