They were in charge of Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning’s safety, but Master had been attacked fatally. If they had been a bit closer and reacted a bit faster, Master might not have been shot. They would have preferred that the bullet hit them.
What awaited them would be very strict punishment from Family Jing, but they didn’t dare to keep it to themselves, so they informed Jing Zhongxiu the moment Master was shot. Jing Zhongxiu was Master’s father and the controller of Family Jing at the moment. He must be the first one to be informed when Master was in fatal danger.
