Chapter 31 - Piano Lesson (1)

Thinking about the place Dongshan again, Su Ran really wanted to be an ostrich for a change and bail out on them. But, remembering Su Han’s question from his soul, Su Ran finally gritted her teeth and left her house on time.

She even picked the most expensive outfit from the ones she had most recently bought.

There was no need to elaborate on what kind of a place Dongshan was. If she dressed too plainly, that’d really make her stand out.

“Oh hey, Miss, it’s you.”

Su Ran was stopped by a voice as soon as she reached the front of Dongshan.

Su Ran turned around and paused a little bit before she recalled he was the same security guard that she had run into the other night.

“What a coincidence. I am on duty today too and run into you again,” said the security guard with a smile when he saw Su Ran.

Even though there’s a healthy traffic flow at DongShan, someone as pretty as Su Ran had really left him with a lasting impression.

“Miss, have you forgotten to bring your keycard with you again?”

“Um, oh, yes.” Since he had asked her point blank, Su Ran had no choice but to stop herself from entering the code directly.

“We are good. We are good. Don’t worry about it. I’ll just let you in.”

“Ugh, thank you so much.”

“No worries. Part of the services for the residents.”

Fake-Resident Su Ran smiled awkwardly at the security guard and walked inside of DongShan.

Unlike the last time she was here, this time she walked straight toward the taller area within DongShan once she got inside.

This place hasn’t changed a lot from what it was like in the original owner’s memory. Possibly influenced by her previous memories, Su Ran did not feel very relaxed walking there.

When she had finally arrived at Unit A-17, according to the address provided by Crazy Zhou via WeChat, Su Ran couldn’t help but turn around and take a look at Unit A-16.

“Psst – the legendary battlefield. It sure is a bit scary,” Su Ran grumbled to herself.

There weren’t a lot of details in the extra chapters of the original novel, but it didn’t mention the male and female leads moving, so the two of them and their kids must still be living in Unit A-16.

That thought made Su Ran shudder. She quickly looked back and rang the doorbell of Unit A-17.

Quickly, a woman in her forties came out and led Su Ran inside the apartment.

“You must be the piano instructor referred by Instructor Li, right?” asked the woman.

“Oh, yes, I am. My name…. My surname is Su,” said Su Ran.

Back in the days when Su Ran was all over Young Master Song, there was a lot of drama. Even though ten years had passed in between, just to be on the safe side, Su Ran decided against mentioning the name of the infamous number one female supporting character without being asked.

“Okay, Instructor Su, follow me. The piano room is on the third floor. Young Master is already waiting inside.” Having said that, she led Su Ran up the stairs.

“This is it,” said the woman as she pushed open the door. “Young Master, your piano instructor is here. Instructor Li was tied up by some personal matters and sent her colleague in her place.”

“Mm.” A languish voice came from inside the room.

“Go on in, Instructor Su. The session is an hour long. Just look for me downstairs when it’s over.”

“Alright.”

The piano room was very spacious. As soon as she walked inside, Su Ran’s attention was caught by the two pianos, one black and one white.

They were pianos made by Company B!

Her second favorite brand of pianos!

And, judging from the size of the piano and the unique distance between the keys, these two must be high-end custom-made ones.

“So you are the new piano instructor?”

A slightly disgruntled boy’s voice came from one side before Su Ran was reminded that she has a customer there with her.
