Chapter 84 (1)

Su Han seemed to have looked over the audience stance a few times as though he was searching for something.

“Han-ge, what are you looking at? Did you spot a pretty girl somewhere?” Liu YangYang nudged Su Han with his elbow and also looked over in the direction that Su Han was looking at.

“Bull.” Su Han let out a word coldly.

“What do you mean ‘bull’? We are playing Class 4 today. I’ve heard that even our school flower will be here today to cheer them on. Aye, where is she now? Somewhere over there, maybe?”

“Hey, wait for me!” Seeing that Su Han had ignored him and walked away, Lin Yiyi retrieved his look and caught up to him.

“Seriously, Han-ge. Just pull ahead in scores as much as possible today so I can go up sooner.”

……

Su Han ignored Liu YangYang and looked over once again at the audience stand until the referee had blown the whistle, gesturing the players from both teams to walk over to the middle of the court.

The basketball was tossed up and the game commenced.

Class 8 got the ball.

Su Ran didn’t know much about basketball but that did not damper her enjoyment in the game.

After the ball was passed a few times and a few players were passed, the basketball had quickly made it to the bottom of their opponent’s hoop.

Thud!

And the ball was in!

“OOOH! We made it!”

“Class 8 made a shot!”

“It was by Su Han!”

“Go, Class 8! Go, Su Han!”

Outside of the court, some people were cheering and some others were discussing with their friends sitting next to them.

“I’ve never seen Su Han play basketball before. I didn’t know he is so good at it.”

“Yeah, the PE Committee in our class should have asked Su Han to join the team a long time ago.”

“I think the PE Committee was just intimidated.”

That was true. In the past, Su Han has always had a stone-cold face and did not talk to anyone. With the exception of his fan Liu YangYang, he was never that close to anyone. Most people didn’t dare to approach him.

“That being said, I think we had been fooled by the way he looks. After these last few times, I felt that Su Han is a pretty nice person. He’s probably just the quiet type.”

“Yeah, yeah. That’s what I think too.”

“Being quiet is nice. Look at how attractive Su Han is being so cool!”

“Hehe. Yeah, he is quite attractive. Especially when he’s so cold and stuck up when he plays basketball.”

***

Su Ran, the other hen, still had no idea that her son had just shot the hoop and had already gained a few female fans. Even so, hearing an occasional “Go, Su Han” amidst the “Go, Class 8”, she felt a sense of pride inside of her.

Feeling emotional, Su Ran couldn’t help but also join in, “Class 8 is the best! Su Han is the best!”

As soon as Su Ran had shouted out, a few parents around her immediately turned to look at her.

One of them from the row in front of her even turned around and gave her an odd look.

“Ahem. That, that is my son.” Even though she didn’t know why they were giving her odd looks, Su Ran still looked very proud when she mentioned her son.

“Mother Su Han, you are sitting over here too.” Possibly because she had heard Su Han’s voice, the person a few seats to her side scooted over next to Su Ran.

“Oh hi, Mother Du WenTao.”

“Why did everyone give me the odd look after I cheered the team on?” asked Su Ran softly, noticing the strange atmosphere.

“Oh, you need to stop with the cheering. These are all parents of Class 4. I had to send some documents today so I got here late. There were no more empty spots over on the Class 8 side, so I had to sit over in the Class 4 section.” Zhou Qin whispered to Su Ran.

Oh, so that’s what it was.
