A day has passed since Iris's experienced with the Butchers goon, and honestly, nothing much has come about within this last day.
All Iris has been doing, is purely training herself, whilst thinking of the next step towards growing her strength.
She knew that the butcher won't just sit there and nothing, every second, and minute of her time that passes means there will be less time for Iris to gain the sufficient strength needed to deal with his retaliation.
Iris has already received a pretty clear picture on what type of character the Butcher possesses, and she knew men like him would never accept such blatant threat to his rule by someone such as Iris.
He will not only want to deal with her for the sake of Hope but to also use her as an example to those who think they could get away with crossing someone such as him.
She even believes that she likely has already caused a dent towards his reputation among his men as a result of her making him suffer losses, not once but twice.
Thus, she needed to become a Journeyman mage, and one fast.
Iris knew she also needed a few spells other than her Legendary one, as having such a powerful spell will help against one strong enemy, but if there is multiple, she could only use it once, before they will know all her cards, thus either wait to send some cannon fodder for her to drain mana, and then deal with her.
So, she knew she will need other spells within her arsenal if she wants to deal with a large number of opponents, including the Butcher himself.
Informing her parents she is going out for a couple of hours, they quickly told her to be back for dinner, before she left through the front door, soon beginning her stroll on the streets.
Thinking of ways to find a quest, she just decides to go for a jog through the neighbourhood, seeing if she can come across anything interesting.
Starting to pick up the pace, Iris was soon going at a constant speed, which would cause the previous her to fall on the ground panting for breath after fifteen seconds of maintaining such a speed, but now it feels incredibly easy for her, as if this wasn't even the limits of what she could achieve.
The past day training also wasn't in vain either, as all of her physical attributes become rounded, her Strength becoming '21' and Endurance '20'.
However, she knew that to improve either from now on with the current physical training she is doing, will be incredibly unlikely and if she even manages to improve herself by doing so, it will require significant effort on her part, and as Iris believed it would be too time-consuming she decided to lay off the physical training for the time being, and look for the quickest increase in strength available to her, quests.
Before long Iris has spent an hour aimlessly wandering around the streets, feeling as if she wasn't something right to provoke a quest, Iris decided to search for something within her mind of an area which can possibly cause a quest to occur.
A few minutes past, and as if a light bulb went off within Iris's mind, she came up with the perfect place to go!
Walking at a steady pace, she soon headed towards one of the roughest areas within the City, a place is commonly known to contain drug dealers, gang members and is the largely the sole cause of the Crime rate within the City.
Within such a place Iris was sure she could find a quest or something which can at least benefit her in improving her strength, raising her guard in anticipation of trouble, Iris soon entered the area, in she noticed that many eyes were naturally drawn towards herself, as honestly she stood out as a result of her appearance everywhere she went much to her displeasure.
In fact, she likely would have worn something more inconspicuous if she would have known from the start she was about to enter a place known for trouble to happen, this was a result of many reasons as there is a distinct lack of police within this area, as a result of it being a poorer area of the city, thus, in turn, receiving less funding from the government.
This, in turn, resulted in a large amount of crime, as individuals quickly built up their 'business' unhindered, creating their own drug enterprises or gang which is involved with racketeering or prostitution, not to mention it allowed many to run rampant without fear of the authorities, and if they end up getting caught?
Well, they could either bribe their way out of it to the greedy officials or simply 'take care' of the witness before they even get the chance of reporting the crime in court, thus as you can see, it is not a nice place.
Iris constantly came here during her childhood to remind herself many people have it way worse than herself, in fact, she used to feel a small pang of pity for the people which had to endure living within such an environment as a result of the true scum of society which cares more about their profits than they do of the well-being of other human beings, but these emotions were soon wiped out after receiving a piece of Orthos's soul as she felt her emotions dulled out even further, making Iris feel nothing.
Getting rid of this thought, she continued to walk, ignoring the many lecherous gazes as she walked further and further within the neighbourhood, she already noticed a group of men began following her, causing Iris to furrow her brow in annoyance.
She already hadn't yet received a quest, but right when she was about to be further annoyed at the lack of quests, a notification came from the system, once again signifying she received a quest.
