Naruto and Ruoxi got shocked when they heard a familiar voice outside Lin Ruoxi's office. How couldn't they? This voice belonged to someone who becomes best friend with her and Naruto's new superior.
Ruoxi's face displayed a panic because her lunchtime with Naruto supposed to be a secret, this was the reason why she sent elsewhere her assistant first. Although they have married but Lin Ruoxi wasn't ready to let other people know except for suitors who tried to court her. As for being worked in the same companies, it wasn't really troubled her.
"It's Qianni! Naruto quickly hides somewhere!" Ruoxi said with a hint of worries in her tone.
Naruto also understood the current situation but he didn't get nervous like her, with a calm tone, he asked, "hiding where?"
Ruoxi put up a thought for a while before responded, "go under my desk, I'm afraid the bathroom is a no go because there is a chance she may use it."
"Roger!" Naruto replied as he quickly ran toward Lin Ruoxi's desk and hid under it. The desk wasn't that big but good enough to hide one person from a plain sight.
Not long after Naruto went hiding, another knocking sound came from the room's door, "Ruoxi...???" Mo Qianni gentle tone could be heard from behind it.
Ruoxi fixed herself before she answered, "I am here Qianni, come in."
The door slowly opens, revealing a beautiful woman with long black hair and cutesy face. She strolled her way inside. Her bright and curious eyes stared at Ruoxi before a smile pulled her lips, "Oh Ruoxi, here you are, I thought since Wu Yue gone, you are probably also not here, but I guess I was wrong."
Nervously smiled back, Ruoxi lied, "Wu Yue went away because she has an appointment outside."
