Punches countered with palms. Kicks countered with side steps. Neji managed to dodge them all by a hair's breadth.
This was due to the fact that Naruto was going easy on him without using a counterattack strategy.
The match would have been over in seconds if Naruto did not care about exposing a few countering techniques to potential enemies who were watching the match.
Naruto could have used a Rasengan right off the bat, but if Neji could not defend himself against a Rasengan, then that would be problematic.
Sounds of punches and kicks being blocked echoed around the stage as Neji and the two clones kept fighting at close range…
Meanwhile, the original Naruto stared at the scene with his arms folded.
It was quite the comical sight for everyone at the stadium.

Naruto could easily give up the match as the ninja ranking did not really apply to him as he already exceeded other ninjas completely. However, the jounin ranking could help him in carrying out official S rank missions, all by himself.
He wouldn't be stopped if he were to go on reconnaissance missions all by himself, but that would be against the rules of other villages for illegal entries and whatnot.
Naruto powered up another Rasengan in his hand as he looked towards Neji.
